On Tuesday 8th July, the surgery will be closed from 1pm to provide dedicated training to the staff and discuss ways that will allow them to improve services, meet demands and support the wellbeing of the staff.
If you feel your request is urgent and cannot wait until the following day, please call 111. If you require urgent medical assistance, please call 999.
All pre-booked appointments will not be affected and will go ahead as normal.

⚠️ IMPORTANT PATIENT UPDATE: WEIGHT LOSS MEDICATIONS ⚠️

We understand that many patients have questions about the availability of weight loss medications starting from 23 June 2025.

At this time:

👉GPs in Lancashire & South Cumbria have NOT yet received confirmation about prescribing these medications.

👉Our GP practice is awaiting official guidance and commissioning updates.

✅ What You Need To Know:

👉We’ll provide an update as soon as more information becomes available.

👉If we are commissioned to provide this service, appointments will be offered to eligible patients.

👉If we are NOT commissioned, we will advise you on the arrangements for accessing this service.

Lancashire Police have launched the Nice2Share scheme, which involves owners of residential and business CCTV cameras registering them with the Police on a community portal. This will form a digital ‘neighbourhood watch’ type scheme. If a crime is committed in a neighbourhood, the Police will be able to email people that have registered their cameras and request to see the footage, saving time knocking on doors after an incident. No cameras are accessible to the Police and the footage can be used for evidence leading to more efficient prosecutions of offenders and reduced crime in local communities.
