It's World Mental Health Day and we just want to reflect on how our constantly changing world is having on our mental health. We want to prioritise on raising awareness and the importance of keeping our minds healthy so we've put together a few reminders for Good Mental Health and essentials for leading Happy healthy lives :)

Here are a few tips :

Stay Present - really be in the moment. Worrying seems to be present in most peoples lives but by engaging, truly engaging in something positive, you will see a different perspective and learn to be in the moment and helps towards worrying less.

Listen - REALLY listening to someone can truly make their day

Sleep - it's a no brainer - quality sleep can make a massive difference to how we feel.

Alcohol- it's our culture to enjoy a glass or two. But too much is a depressant which affects moods, increased anxiety and making decisions after the initial fun buzz has gone. Explore ways for a healthier option. Definitely something to sleep on :)

Stretch exercises at home, go for a walk, encourage motivation and keep Active! - Blow the cobwebs away! it's great for mental stimulation and refreshment :)

As a Bank/Casual Support Worker with Healey Care Ltd, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals with Learning Disabilities. Your primary responsibility will be to provide compassionate and personalised support to clients, ensuring their needs are met and promoting their independence. This position requires a dedicated individual who is not only skilled in care provision but also possesses a genuine passion for helping others

Role Overview

You’ll work closely with a various sized teams, dedicated team to build strong, trusting relationships and promote positive outcomes for each of our clients. As a Bank/ Casual Support Worker, you'll play a key role in supporting Adults with Learning Disabilities to feel safe, valued, and empowered.

Key Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day care, support, and guidance for Adults with LD
Support daily routines, activities, education, and appointments.
Maintain clear, accurate records and contribute to care planning.
Safeguard and advocate for Adults with LD in line with CQC standards.
Work collaboratively with colleagues and professionals.
Requirements

Driver ( pool car provided to assist days out with Clients if /when required)
Previous experience in Adult Care or Care experience.
A nurturing, resilient, and patient approach to working with Adults with LD.
Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Commitment to safeguarding and professional practice.

This role is subject to a fully enhanced adult and child DBS check
