✨ Safe to Let Go ✨

This week, a client shared something that meant so much to me:
“I feel safe to let go here. I feel held. I feel cared for.”

Those words mean everything. That is all I ever hope to create, a space where people can soften, release, and know they are not alone.

Human beings are wired for connection. Psychiatrist Bessel van der Kolk, author of The Body Keeps the Score, reminds us that safety in relationship is the foundation for healing. Without it, the body stays in survival mode. With it, the body and mind can finally rest and repair.

Research professor Brené Brown also teaches that connection and belonging are fundamental to our wellbeing. She says, “Connection is why we’re here, it gives purpose and meaning to our lives.”

And the truth is, I can hold space for others because I am held too.
The people who anchor me, who care for me, who remind me that I am safe and supported, they are the reason I can do this work.
They are my reminder that none of us heal or thrive alone.

🌿✨ Exciting news to share - Nutrition ✨🌿

By 2026, I hope to complete my Level 5 Nutrition course with the recognised Future Fit. This has been a dream of mine for some time, and I’m so excited to be bringing it to life. 💫

When I begin, I’ll be taking on only a small number of clients, starting with a 3-month programme followed by monthly maintenance support. Alongside holistic nutrition, I’ll be offering positive body image and self - esteem coaching . This will be a blend of my own lived experiences and recognised tools + techniques, with a focus on gentle, nourishing, feminine ways of being. 🌸

This journey is about more than food, it’s about self-love, habits rooted in self-worth, and a softer way of living.

I’m still growing, learning, and creating… and I can’t wait to share more with you as this vision unfolds.

✨ Boundaries Are Medicine ✨

Here’s the truth, your health depends on your boundaries.
Not just your immune system, not just your whole food diet, not just your morning yoga flow. If your boundaries are shaky, your energy leaks, your stress spikes, and your body feels it!!!

🌀 “No” is a complete sentence.
🌀 Rest is productive.
🌀 Protecting your peace is not selfish, it’s sacred self-respect.

When you set boundaries, you teach others how to treat you and you remind yourself that your time, your body, your heart, and your energy are not up for grabs. ❤️🙏🦋

Tips for Strong Boundaries -

1. Say it straight. Stop sugarcoating. Boundaries don’t need a PowerPoint. Be short, kind, firm.

2. Check your body. If your chest tightens or your gut flips when you say “yes,” that’s your intuition saying “hell no.”

3. Prioritise rest. You don’t earn worthiness by overextending yourself to others.

4. Drop the guilt. Guilt is a sign of old conditioning, not truth. Core beliefs that wr have held all our life. Question the guilt.

5. Remember - boundaries are bridges, not walls. They connect you to healthier relationships, not to isolate you.

❤️ Boundary setting is empowering health care. It lowers stress hormones, boosts mental clarity, and deepens your spiritual connection. When you honour your own “yes” and “no,” you step into your power fully.

So, next time someone pushes your limit?

Channel your inner wisdom and remember,

🌱 Coping vs. Thriving: Why Nervous System Tools Aren’t Always Enough 🌱

Regulation techniques like breathwork, grounding exercises, or mindfulness practices are powerful.
They help calm the nervous system, reduce stress, and bring us back to a place where we can think and respond more clearly.

Research in polyvagal theory (Dr. Stephen Porges) and trauma recovery (Dr. Bessel van der Kolk, The Body Keeps the Score) shows just how life saving these tools can be for our mental and physical health.

But here’s an important distinction - while nervous system tools help us cope, they don’t always help us thrive.

✨️They won’t fix a job that leaves you burned out.

✨️They can’t repair a relationship that continuously harms you.

✨️ They won’t resolve living in a way that goes against your deepest values.

Healing is not only about soothing your body in a stressful environment, it often requires evaluating and changing the environment itself. As psychologist Carl Rogers once said, “The good life is a process, not a state of being.” Sometimes that process asks us to step into new spaces where our nervous system doesn’t just need to manage, but can actually rest and flourish.

✨ Nervous system tools are essential, they give us the resilience to take action. But long term wellbeing often comes from deeper shifts that are aligning with healthier environments, supportive relationships, and value driven choices.

🌿✨ FULLY BOOKED 🌿✨

Thank you to my regulars and all new enquiries that have been sent to me in the last few months.

As stated previously, I am finishing some training courses, and I will get back to all who have enquiried before today and you will receive an appointment by the end of September.

Unfortunately, as of today, I am now fully booked.

I’m unable to take on new clients at this time. It’s such a blessing to be this busy, doing the work I love, and I’m beyond thankful for the trust and support that’s made this possible. 💜

The exciting news is that I am reassessing things and I want to grow this business even further so I can open up space again in the new year, but for now I’m pouring my energy into supporting my amazing existing clients and living this dream life I’ve created.

✨ A Little Milestone Worth Sharing ✨

Over the past 6 weeks, I’ve been on an incredible journey of growth, completing 6 courses in 6 weeks! Each one has been a stepping stone towards shaping The Zen Lotus into what I’ve always envisioned: a place where people can feel empowered, supported, and inspired to live to their fullest potential. 🌸

The course I completed today has left me absolutely buzzing with excitement. I can’t reveal too much just yet (that’s coming next month 😉), but I can say this, it’s a technique that can help release blocks, ease the weight of emotions we carry, and open the door to real transformation, for both mind and body.

I’m proud of myself for committing to this path, but more than that, I’m grateful. Grateful to be able to continue learning, growing, and bringing new ways of healing and empowerment to my clients.

Simon Squibb reminds us that when we want to live out our dreams, we should ask what is our why, and my why has always been simple:
