Suddenly but peacefully on Tuesday 29th July 2025, Alison of Elzy Road Staxigoe passed away at Caithness General Hospital Wick surrounded by her family. Alison was a much loved and devoted wife to Rob, and a cherished mother to Johndy, Mandy, Julie and the late Robert and Karen.. A dear mother-in-law to Raymond and Angie. Treasured nana to Craig and his wife Chloe, Euan, Bryony, Grant, Liam and a adored great-nana to Logan and Isla. Much loved sister and sister-in-law. Gone from our sights but never our hearts. Wilma’s family would like extend their heartfelt thanks to all who offered comfort and support following the loss of our beloved wife / mother, Wilma. Your visits, cards, flowers, and messages have been deeply appreciated.
Thank you to Sarah Wilkinson for a comforting service, to Jan Sutherland for the beautiful flower arrangements and to Murray & Ellie of the Mackay’s Hotel for the excellent refreshments and comforting hospitality.
A special thanks to Sanders and staff at Clair Harpers & Son for their professional handling of the funeral arrangements.

Beloved big sister/sister-in law. Cherished friend to so many including Moira, Alison, Shona and Joan.

It is with profound sadness that after a very short illness so bravely borne we announce the sudden passing of Wilma, who passed away very peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on 20th June 2025 . Wilma (aged 70 years) was a much loved and devoted wife to Robbie, loved and cherished mother to Kerry, Evan, Tracy & Lorraine, adored nan, great nan, daughter, sister, aunt and friend to many, whose love, warmth and kindness touched everyone around her. Gone from our sight but never from our hearts. A celebration of Wilma’s life will be held on Monday 30th June at 12.00 noon from Sinclair’s Restrooms, Macarthur Street, Wick.
