An update

Over the past year, my treatment diary has quietly and beautifully filled with the most wonderful souls. Because I work very intentionally and want to continue offering deeply held, unrushed sessions, I have now made the decision to close my books to new clients.
If you are feeling called to work with me, you are still very welcome to register your interest via the contact form on my website stating that you would like a future appointment.

Hello, and thank you!�To everyone who has been part of Celestial Skin & Sounds, whether you joined a sound bath, received a treatment, or shared my work with someone else, your support truly means everything. As a one person business, each booking, kind word, and referral is deeply felt and appreciated.

January has never been a month I rush. For me, it can bring anxiety and that quiet feeling of being left behind before the year has even begun. So a few years ago, I chose a gentler way. I ease into the year slowly, giving myself the first couple of weeks to rest, recalibrate, and return to my rhythm, because new beginnings don’t have to be loud and they don’t have to start on January 1st.
If you also find the transition from December to January hard, please know you’re not alone. It’s okay to rest without guilt, to feel unsure about goals, to move slowly, to sleep more, and to meet the new year without pressure or comparison. There is no rush here, only space to arrive when you’re ready.

Our story

Hi, I’m Emma the owner and founder of Celestial Skin. My vision for Celestial skin actually began almost 20 years ago, fresh out of beauty school I was passionate about massage and all things facial. Unfortunately at that time and with little salon experience I was told there was no career to be made out of just doing facials and massage. Believing this to be true I lost interest relatively quickly in the roles of beauty therapist and gave up on what I now realise was my calling. Fast forward to now and I run a business that is 90% massaged based, it’s the core of my treatments and I feel like I’ve come “home”.

It was whilst on maternity leave planning how to launch my business of purely massage based facials and researching all manner of treatments that I came across Cecily Braden who teaches Gua Sha Facial Fusion. I knew I had to do her course, but I’d just missed her training and had to wait almost a year for her to return to the UK. I waited and when the course came up I booked it without hesitation, despite not knowing how I was going to pay for it. The honest truth is I put my family under immense financial strain and my Husband bore the burden, our purse strings were tight.

I had already tentatively opened Celestial Skin and my visions were big! (They still are) But my confidence was low. I was making my rent and covering my costs, but not much more and what little I did make I ploughed straight back into the business on education or making my little studio a haven for all......on the tightest budget ever! When the time came and I met Cecily for the first time I knew I was right to trust my gut instinct, as a teacher she was everything I’d hoped for and more. It was overwhelming and emotional when the course ended, but I could not wait to get home and start offering this treatment.

Gua Sha Facial Fusion literally changed my life and my business overnight, I started to see results immediately on everyoneI tried it on, both physically and on an emotional level, everybody loved it....almost, but not quite as much as me! I have never looked back.
