Reflecting on World Reflexology Week today ✨
My weeks are filled with holistic treatments generally, but as it was World Reflexology Week last week, I really wanted to focus on reflexology, how it supports my clients and how it has enhanced my life ✨
With permission, one of my lovely clients allowed me to photograph a session, and I think the calm, serene energy of reflexology really came through in the images ✨
As a holistic treatment, reflexology is my number one for clients who need a truly nurturing and grounding treatment. As we work with the feet, the most physically grounded part of the body, the part of us that literally connects us to the earth, reflexology feels so grounding when we feel a little out of balance. It engages the body, mind and nervous system in a deeply calming way, as pressure points linked to the parasympathetic nervous system are stimulated ✨
Our feet work so hard, and they can hold a surprising amount of tension that we may not be aware of. During a reflexology treatment that tension is dissolved, releasing a lot of physical and emotional stress ✨
The benefits of reflexology are vast, I’ve mentioned only a few here, and during this past week devoted to this amazing treatment, I noted that my clients felt:
✨Relaxed
✨Serene
✨Grounded
✨Refreshed
✨Light
✨Rejuvenated
✨Calm
The entire body is represented in the feet, and with over 7000 reflex points to work with in reflexology treatments, this practice is really quite amazing. In my own life, I have found that this treatment (when I am lucky enough to receive one), reduces stress, improves hormonal symptoms and increases energy, which is gold to me! As a practitioner though, I love reflexology for its ability to connect me with my clients. When I practice it, I feel calmer and more grounded myself, and the reward I feel when a client feels better afterwards, is so lovely ✨
Thank you to my client who gracefully allowed me to capture our session, and to all my clients who love reflexology as much as I do ✨💛
