📢 Seasonal COVID-19 vaccine and Flu service for Autumn/Winter 2025.

Our clinic is all set up for next Wednesday 1st October.

Our purpose-built vaccination centre will be open again this October to deliver the seasonal vaccines for autumn/winter.

Bookings for the seasonal COVID-19 vaccine and Flu vaccine are now available on the National Booking System.

Please note that the Pharmacy and Vaccination Centre will close between 1-2pm for a staff lunch hour.

Who can get a seasonal Flu vaccine?

You may be eligible if you are:
• aged 65 years and over (by 31 March 2026)
• aged 6 months to 64 years and at increased risk due to a health condition or medical treatment
- Chronic respiratory disease.
- Chronic heart disease and vascular disease.
- Chronic kidney disease.
- Chronic liver disease.
- Chronic neurological disease.
- Diabetes mellitus and other endocrine disorders.
- Immunosuppression.
- Asplenia or dysfunction of the spleen.
- Morbid obesity.
- Severe mental illness.
- Younger adults in long-stay nursing and residential care settings.
- Pregnancy.

For Covid, patients need to be 75yrs of age or older or be severely immunosuppressed.

Currently we can only vaccinate patients 18yrs and above for the Covid and Flu service.

Once again, the service will be delivered from our Cross Street entrance where there is plenty of free car parking spaces available in the Gym and SWIM car park.

You have the option of booking for either vaccine or both on the National Booking System.

If having trouble booking online please call the Pharmacy on 01514244353 and we will book you in. Please have your NHS number to hand.

When searching for our Pharmacy use the postcode WA8 6JT. For sat nav directions to the rear of the building use WA8 6HS.

We hope to have plenty of stock and staff available for walk in patients but we strongly advise booking to save on unnecessary queues.

📢 We are all set for the Spring Covid-19 vaccination campaign. All appointments are now live on the National Booking System.

We will update walk-in availability on the site for any patients wanting a last minute unscheduled vaccine.

This is for patients 75yrs of age and over and anyone severely immunocompromised.

Spring Covid-19 vaccination service.

The Spring 2025 programme will commence 1st April 2025 and ends on 17th June 2025.

We will be offering the seasonal COVID-19 vaccine to any individuals aged 75 years and over (including individuals who turn 75 years old by 17th June 2025).

Individuals who are immunosuppressed are also invited for the Spring booster. If you are not sure if you qualify please contact us and we will advise whether you need to come forward. As a general rule this would be for patients not producing white blood cells or have been identified as having a weakened immune system.

With limited vaccines available for the start of the service we encourage you to book onto the National Booking System where we have released sufficient appointments to match our allocation.

As per previous campaigns we will have our vaccination centre at the rear of the Pharmacy open for scheduled appointments.

Update on stock of Methylphenidate modified-release tablets.

We have plenty of 18mg, 27mg, 36mg and 54mg.

We also have the immediate release 5mg and 10mg tablets.

Prescriptions should be written generically as we have a mixture of brands.

📢📢 We will offer a COVID-19 vaccination and Flu walk in service all day this Saturday 12th October 10am to 2pm.

We recognise people may have been working during the week or have other family commitments that make weekdays difficult to attend.

We are located at the rear of our Pharmacy in our brand new purpose-built clinic. There is step free access available from our dedicated entrance and exit on Cross Street. 🦽

If coming by car 🚗 please use the postcode WA8 6HS which will bring you to the Gym and SWIM car park. There are disabled spaces and 144 car parking spaces in total.

If using Public Transport 🚌 there are 3 bus stops within walking distance. The closest is just a few yards away opposite Widnes Outdoor Market serving the following bus routes: 27A, 62, 62A, 79C, 82A and 982.

Alternatively head to the Town Centre car parks or bus stops near the Morrison’s supermarket and just walk across.

We are on the National Booking System for anyone who wants a scheduled appointment with no wait both for Covid and Flu.

We have a very large capacity to offer vaccinations and as a dedicated vaccination centre we have lots of walk-in capacity.

We have had no long queues and very short waiting times.

If unable to book in online please attend as a walk-in.

We have Flu jabs available for anyone 18yrs and above and the specific vaccine for anyone 65yrs and older. If you have a severe egg allergy we also stock egg-free vaccines.

All our clinic dates are available on the National Booking System updated for the entire month of October.
