Fairy tales teach us love is happily ever after and life becomes magically easy. The truth I found is that loving deeply has a way of revealing the hidden parts of yourself you had been avoiding the most as your heart fully opens. I thought it meant something was wrong but when I looked in that mirror, only then could I begin to heal. Not to break me, but to show me and let me then discover the deepest love, including for myself.

A recent revelation for me was not realising how much my body carried, until my body said what my heart and mouth had been suppressing. Somatic healing taught me (although still learning) this isnt weakness. Its suppressed truth stored in the body as tension, fatigue, shutdown and illness. The lesson? What we don't express, the body will. One way or another. Let the emotions move and if its messy, painful and slow, especially then.

Many of us have a habit of trying to just solve everything. Through review and reflection, there is a realization that some things simply need to be felt and heard to return to stillness. Habits can be hard to break but awareness is the true starting point.
