The pancreas is an organ in the top part of your tummy and it helps you digest your food and makes hormones, such as insulin.

See a GP if you have:
-lost a noticeable amount of weight over the last 6 to 12 months without trying
-other symptoms of pancreatic cancer that get worse or do not get better after 2 weeks
-a condition that causes symptoms with your digestion that are not getting better after 2 weeks of using your usual treatments

How loud is too loud?

Do You Know Your Safe Exposure Time?

Sound level or sound pressure level (SPL) is logarithmically measured in Decibels (dB). Relative to how we hear sounds this is technically weighted and denoted by the letter A (dB A).

What is important to realise is a 3dB increase in sound pressure DOUBLES the sound intensity and therefore halves the safe exposure time. So, with every 3dB of protection you can double your safe exposure time at that sound level.

For example: If the SPL was 97dB(A) and you wore an ACS PRO17 custom hearing protector your safe exposure time has gone from 30mins, with no protection, to well over 16 hours.
