This Mercedes SLK arrived with a familiar warning on the dashboard:

⚠️ β€œEngine start not possible in 146 miles”
This warning is triggered when the SCR / AdBlue system detects a fault and begins the countdown to a no-start condition.

Following repair of the underlying fault, the system still required correct reset procedures to remove the start countdown and restore normal operation.

Fiat 500e HV Battery Diagnosis βš‘πŸ”‹

⚑ High Voltage Fault Diagnosis – Fiat 500e
This 2022 Fiat 500e BEV arrived with multiple warning messages and a suspected high-voltage battery issue.

Modern Stellantis EV platforms are protected by a Secure Gateway (SGW), meaning many aftermarket tools are restricted from accessing the deeper diagnostic functions required for proper fault finding.

Using our dealer-level WiTECH 2.0 diagnostic platform, we were able to securely authenticate with the vehicle and release the gateway, allowing full access to the high-voltage battery control system.

From here we were able to carry out detailed battery analysis including:

The data quickly revealed the cause of the issue.

Analysis of the battery parameters showed cell degradation within the HV battery pack, confirming the battery had suffered internal deterioration rather than a wiring or control system fault.

With access to the correct OEM tooling and Stellantis technical data, we were able to confidently diagnose the failure and provide the customer with a clear direction for repair.

Bringing a DPF Back to Life – Without Removal! πŸ”§πŸ’¨

This CitroΓ«n C3 came in following repairs with a DPF heavily restricted and struggling to recover through normal regeneration.

Rather than removing the filter and sending it away, we carried out an on-vehicle DPF clean using the DC Lubricants Ltd cleaning kit.

Using the DCL RinsePro system, we were able to flush and break down the built-up soot and ash deposits directly through the DPF while still installed on the vehicle.

Can a brand new part be faulty? Absolutely.

This Audi Q3 arrived with a Parking Brake Warning illuminated and fault codes stored for the LH rear parking brake motor.

Using VCDS, we confirmed the fault:
C100D – Left Parking Brake Motor Voltage Supply – Electrical Malfunction

Rather than simply throwing parts at the vehicle, we went back to basics and validated the circuit electrically.

πŸ“Š Service information specification:
Parking brake motor resistance should be 0.2Ξ© – 0.6Ξ©
βœ” RH (known good side): 0.5Ξ© – perfectly within specification.
❌ LH (brand new aftermarket calliper): resistance far outside tolerance.

The result?
A brand new part that was faulty straight out of the box.

To confirm the original diagnosis, we also tested the old calliper that had been removed, verifying the vehicle’s original issue and proving the new component itself was the problem.

⚠️ This is a perfect example of why proper electrical testing is critical before condemning wiring, modules, or control units.

Had this been approached with guesswork, it could easily have led to:
β€’ Unnecessary wiring repairs
β€’ ABS module replacement

This 2023 Ford Transit arrived with:
❌ No HVAC control from the heater panel
❌ Trailer socket inoperative

Strangely, no warning lights and no relevant fault codes stored.

Using oscilloscope analysis, we quickly discovered the MS-CAN network was heavily corrupted, despite still appearing active.

Further investigation led us to the culprit…
πŸ’§ Water ingress at the Trailer Control Module connector causing severe MS-CAN communication disruption.

Once isolated, the network returned to normal and system operation was restored.
