It helps prevent cervical cancer by checking for human papillomavirus (HPV). Screening saves over 5,000 lives a year. Itโ€™s a quick test, and weโ€™ll make you feel relaxed and comfortable. This is a life-saving test, so when invited, please make sure you .

Worried about attending your cervical screening? Thereโ€™s nothing to be afraid of; itโ€™s quick and our nurses are used to carrying out this procedure. Did you know World Blood Donor Day is observed every year on 14th June because this is the birthday of Karl Landsteiner, an Austrian scientist who discovered the ABO blood group system, which is crucial for safe blood transfusions? Blood stocks throughout the UK remain critically low. You can save someoneโ€™s life this by giving blood. https://www.blood.co.uk/

If youโ€™re fit and healthy, and youโ€™re aged between 17 and 65, you can generally give blood! The UK needs around 4,300 donations a day to meet the needs of hospitals and critical care. Men can donate every 12 weeks and women every 16 weeks. Do something amazing and save someoneโ€™s life today by giving blood. https://www.blood.co.uk/why-give-blood/

Register to be a blood donor, give blood and save lives. Find out more about blood donation.
