Meet Suzanne 👏
Suzanne has been sharing insights into our new Pathways to Employment service — a project dedicated to supporting local disabled people into meaningful work.
Working directly with individuals, Suzanne helps with everything from building confidence through work trials, to creating CVs and applying for roles. Her hands-on support is making a real difference in helping people take positive steps towards employment 💼
Since January, the project has supported 42 people on their journey into work — a fantastic achievement we’re incredibly proud of!
Thank you, Suzanne, for your dedication and the impact you’re making every day 💙

“Having a PA means a lot to me. gaining independence, choice, and control over daily life by employing someone to provide tailored support.

Me and my PA get on well he feels to me like a bit of a mate. I get excited about meeting up and what adventure we might have every time it’s different. My PA always makes it fun and I really enjoy his company.

It gives me a break from my day to day life and time for myself to feel independent.”

Meet Tiff – one of our fantastic volunteers and a trustee here at Embrace.

This week, Tiff has been working alongside Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) to help redesign and improve the Ring and Ride service across Greater Manchester.

It’s great to see lived experience shaping services that matter, helping make transport more accessible and inclusive for our communities.

Georgina’s mum, has been in touch to share how much her PA means to her:

“Andy has been my daughter‘s PA for over a year. I have found Andy to be a compassionate, reliable and supportive PA. He has shown patience and understanding to Georgina’s needs. He helps her to do activities she enjoys. She’s getting out into the community and going places she otherwise would not be able to do on her own. He’s helped her with the anxiety she can get when going to places that she’s not been to before, which is helping her with more confidence in herself. She has built up a positive, trusting relationship with him. I know my daughter is in safe hands when she’s out with Andy.”

Thanks so much for sharing!! What an amazing difference Andy is making! It’s wonderful to see how having a PA is having such a meaningful impact on Georgina’s life 🥰
