We were so proud of our band, The Embraceables, who performed at their first festival last weekend. They got an amazing review, which we'd love to share with you:
First up are local band The Embraceables, introduced by bass player Mick with a quote from Tom Petty that music “isn’t supposed to be perfect…it must come from the soul”. And the band completely embody this ethos, with three vocalists, Kieran, Dane and Tiff, giving their all and delivering emotional, soulful and committed performances, supported by Tiff and Maria on guitars and Adam behind the kit, keeping a rock steady groove alongside bassist Mick.
It's a rousing eclectic set with everything from Oasis’ “Half A World Away”, to a version of White Rabbit where guitarist Tiff puts down the guitar and takes on vocal duties. There are also brilliant versions of Knockin On Heaven’s Door, my personal favourite Bad Moon Rising and a cracking Teenage Dirtbag to end. The Embraceables really do capture the spirit and heart of SKULLFEST25, of inclusivity and fun, that music should be for everyone, and in so doing set the tone perfectly for the day, kicking the musical proceedings off in fine style.
