🐾 Supporting the Pet Project in Wigan 🐾

We were delighted to recently welcome Joanne and Trish from Wigan Council to talk about the fantastic Pet Project initiative. It was a pleasure to meet and support such a meaningful community project.

The Pet Project helps residents who may be struggling to care for their pets, ensuring no one has to choose between their own wellbeing and their beloved companion. Pets play such an important role in people’s lives, offering comfort, routine and companionship.

As part of our commitment to supporting the wider community, Care Choice is proud to be involved in raising awareness of this initiative.

If any of our staff are currently supporting clients who may need assistance with pet food, flea treatment, bedding or other essential pet supplies, please let the office know. Items can be collected from us, or we can arrange for them to be dropped off where needed. We are also recording requirements so we can provide feedback on the main areas of need.

A big thank you to Rhubarb Street, who are working in partnership on this project and have generously donated dry pet food. You can find out more about them here:
