DESMOND Type 2 Diabetes Programme (Diabetes Education and Self-Managment for Ongoing & Newly Diagnosed) are down at Claire House Surgery & Ince Surgery today, Wednesday 21st January.

DESMOND is a resource to help you manage the changes diabetes will bring to your life, and an opportunity to meet and share experience with others. They offer a choice of half day sessions or a full day within the Wigan and Leigh Borough. The sessions are designed to give you an opportunity to talk about your diabetes with specialist staff and about the things that matter to you.

If you or a family member want more information about the programme pop into Claire House and have a chat with the friendly DESMOND staff.

✔️ HPV vaccination helps protect against the virus that causes most cervical cancers
✔️ Don’t ignore symptoms such as unusual bleeding, pain, or discharge — speak to your GP

If you have flu, the best thing to do is rest, keep warm, get plenty of sleep and drink lots to stay hydrated. Paracetamol or ibuprofen can help to lower your temperature and treat your aches and pains.
