What a year it’s been! As we say goodbye to this year, we want to celebrate the amazing people who made it such a success, our passionate staff, the individuals we support, their families and everyone who supports our work. We would like to wish everyone a very Happy New Year.

What a wonderful festive week it’s been! From Christmas dinners and games to music, dancing, movies, and our own interpretation of Bongo Bingo, there was something for everyone. Hot chocolate in our winter wonderland added the perfect finishing touch to a week full of festive fun.

We had a fantastic night at St Williams Social Club Ince for our attendees’ Christmas party! Carl Connolly of Mascot Mania DJ and entertainment kicked things off brilliantly, getting everyone involved with fun party games. His legendary “Twelve Days of Christmas” had the whole room buzzing, and we loved dancing to all our favourite tracks throughout the evening.

We enjoyed plenty of raffle prizes and spot prizes during the games, with the main raffle prize generously donated by Elite electrical NW LTD. The delicious food from Cassidy Catering was a real highlight, and a big thank you also goes to Wigan Events & Soft Play for the wonderful balloon decorations.

A brilliant night all round!

As the festive season approaches, our attendees have been hard at work creating these fantastic reindeer decorations. From cutting and painting to assembling each piece, they’ve produced some impressive final creations. It’s been wonderful to see every participant show such focus, creativity, and pride throughout each stage of the process. A huge congratulations to everyone involved!

Our attendees have been engaging in valuable hands-on learning within our onsite salon, gaining practical experience in both hairdressing techniques and customer service. These sessions provide an excellent opportunity for them to develop real-world workplace skills in a supported, professional environment.

Our attendees gain hands-on, real-life work experience in our fully equipped wood workshop, and their progress has been amazing. From learning to measure, saw, and drill safely to creating fantastic, finished pieces like chairs and birdhouses, everyone has shown incredible focus, teamwork, and creativity. Each project helps build practical skills, confidence, and pride in what they can achieve. It’s brilliant to see everyone growing and developing in a real workshop environment.

This week, our attendees have been busy preparing delicious homemade soup and sandwiches as part of their food preparation sessions. From peeling and chopping fresh vegetables to carefully cooking and serving their meals, everyone demonstrated great focus, teamwork, and dedication. The end result was a nutritious and hearty lunch. These sessions not only encourage practical cooking skills, but also build confidence, independence, and a sense of achievement. Well done to everyone involved!

We’ve had an incredible day celebrating Halloween with lots of frightful fun and games, from ‘Wrap the Mummy’ to ‘Buckets of Gunge’! Our delicious chippy lunch was a real treat, and our Bongo’s inspired bingo made a thrilling return by popular demand. Everyone looked boo-tiful in their fancy dress and congratulations to our best-dressed winners and all our game champions! A huge thank you to everyone who joined in the Halloween fun, you truly made it a fang-tastic day!

What an amazing time we've had this morning taking part in our very own Halloween Bongo Bingo inspired event! It wasn’t your average bingo, we turned up the energy with great music, laughter, dancing, and plenty of prizes! Numbers came with their own tune, creating a fantastic atmosphere full of fun.

Our talented textiles group has been getting creative and festive, making these beautiful fabric pumpkins decorated with flowers, twine, and autumn flair! Everyone worked very hard, stitching, stuffing, gluing, and adding their personal touches with fantastic results.

We’ve been busy in the kitchen learning how to make delicious homemade sausage rolls and just look at the results. From mixing and rolling to filling and glazing, everyone got hands-on and showed some amazing skills. Fresh out of the oven, golden, flaky, and mouth-watering, we’re really proud of how they turned out. Well done to everyone involved!
