πŸŽ„ Important askmyGP Reminder – Christmas & New Year Opening Times πŸŽ„

Please be aware that the practice will be closing at 1:00pm on both Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.

Although the routine request box on askmyGP will remain open, any requests submitted:

on Christmas Eve after 1pm will not be actioned until Monday 29th December
on New Year’s Eve after 1pm will not be actioned until Friday 2nd January

⚠️ Important Reminder About Appropriate Use of askmyGP

We have recently received inappropriate requests via the routine request box, including:

Fractures – if you feel you have sustained a fracture please go straight to A&E as this is not something the practice can deal with.
Unwell children – requests after 10am must be submitted to the practice via telephone
Mental health crisis – please dial 999

Using askmyGP correctly helps us ensure urgent problems are dealt with promptly and keeps all our patients safe.

Please see previous post or our website for full details of our opening times over the festive period and who to contact during these times.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding πŸŽ…βœ¨

πŸ’› Spreading Christmas Cheer as a Community πŸ’›

Working together with Shevington Sharks, our surgery was proud to join the local community in supporting the wonderful charity Daffodil Dreams this Christmas. Daffodil Dreams helps create precious memories and provides gifts and support to children with life-limiting or life-threatening illnesses, as well as their families. πŸ’

Thanks to the generosity of our PPG, surgery staff, patients, and local supporters, we collected a fantastic selection of treats and gifts to help bring comfort and joy to the families supported by the charity. This truly shows the power of our community coming together for a shared cause.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who donated and got involved. Your kindness will help make this Christmas a little brighter for families who need it most. πŸŽ„βœ¨

The lunch was made possible by funding from the Wigan council brighter borough.
