We are aware of the recent news reports regarding cases of meningitis B in Kent and understand that this may be causing concern.



At present, we are only able to offer meningitis B (MenB) vaccinations in line with the national immunisation schedule. This includes doses at 8 weeks and 12 weeks of age, with a booster at 1 year. This programme has been in place for children born on or after 1st September 2015.



There are currently no national guidelines recommending additional MenB vaccinations for individuals outside of this eligible group. As such, we are unable to provide vaccinations beyond the existing schedule at this time.



We would like to reassure our patients that there are currently no confirmed cases in the North West. Should national guidance change, we will update and inform our patients as soon as possible.

It has been reported that members of our team have been subjected to racial comments. We want to make it absolutely clear that this behaviour is completely unacceptable and does not reflect the values of our practice.

We are proud to serve a diverse community, and our team is made up of dedicated professionals from a wide range of backgrounds. Every member of staff deserves to work in a safe, respectful, and supportive environment. Racism, discrimination, or any form of abusive language will not be tolerated under any circumstances.

Our practice operates a Zero Tolerance Policy. Any patient who makes racist or discriminatory remarks towards our staff or other patients will receive a formal warning. Further incidents may result in removal from our patient list and, where appropriate, reporting to the relevant authorities.

We kindly ask all patients to treat our team and fellow patients with courtesy and respect at all times. Together, we can ensure our practice remains a welcoming and safe place for everyone.
