Hybrid Rehab

I believe that every single person has an untapped potential and purpose in this world and are capable of than far more than they realise and I believe that it all starts with a healthy, nourished body

On a daily basis I am privileged enough to work with a wide variety of people of all ages and ability's and help realise just how strong and capable they really are using a variety of different training styles i.e. pure strength, interval conditioning, yoga, strongman style, H.I.I.T, body-building and basic bodyweight conditioning

I don't believe one style is better than the other and that in order to reach your full potential as a human being and athlete you need a hybridization of it all

Now as for diet, nutrition etc. again I believe in a simple almost 'primitive' approach of good nutritious food and an eating protocol similar to our ancestors and everyone who has tried it has experienced reduced or complete lack of cravings, reduced body fat, improved energy, food and mood and subsequent improvements in the rest of their lives.

A few shoulder movements to help un-gunk the tissue and the neurology

Another option with a wall ball that’ll help to put a little give in your system

The point of these, of all the bits I share, is to move people away from constant tension, from endless stretching and mobility drills that can often create more issues

We have enough tension in our training and our lives, hence my preference for developing movements, neurology and people’s ability to move/load through range

This one adds a bit of flow too which will help ease a tight back and hips

Dans hips are improving weekly now and we’re finally piecing more movements together - it’s a painstaking process but thoroughly rewarding

Awesome work buddy

Hip mobility

These movements - and the ones that follow - will help you to develop strong mobile hips that don’t require constant stretching, mobilising or releasing

They’ll help you develop your confidence and competence in the pocket, teach you to navigate ranges and positions that are often neglected and open up movement possibilities that will improve your performance and recovery

You don’t need to stretch, you don’t need to activate and mobilise, you need to learn how to move

A quick guide to rehabbing a bad issue

It’s nothing complicated, just a few movements to ease the tension, reduce the pressure and facilitate healing

Once you’ve started they’re easy to progress and will replace the need for endless drills, stretches and mobility drills, they’ll prep you for movement and life

Core gainz with

Every week this kid gets stronger, more confident and he continually surprises me with how quickly he improves

I can’t believe that all this potential was completely missed/ignored and I can’t help but despair at the thought of how may others have been placed in a box of someone else’s limits

I don’t do anything special with Riley other than look for opportunities for him to learn - just like I do with all my clients - he does all the work and I couldn’t be prouder of him

Hip mobility flow, there’s an advanced one but I also show you how to regress it

I like to put movements together in chains/flows rather than breaking each movement into separate sets/reps - this way there’s no room for excess tension, you have to learn to switch between movements/positions and flow

It’s simple, requires zero equipment/space and will get you moving better - simples

Little mobility drill for grapplers who want to develop their confidence in their knees and their ability to load them while keeping low

I always struggled with these types of movements before my knee was rebuilt so I’m making an effort to develop them and my ability to move/load while keeping low

If you’ve ever grappled with a high level wrestler you’ll know that they move in a way that is hard to deal with, one minute they’re in front of you, then they’re round the back tipping you over, and they did it while staying low but moving quickly/fluidly

I’ve always admired that ability, hence playing around with these types of movements

Give it a go but be cautious

Little ramble on training, getting in shape this year and being activate

The gist - the gym can be fun and very rewarding, but it ain’t for everyone, if that’s you, don’t worry there’s loads of other things you can do that are fun and great for you

Once you get the feel of this it flows really well but it is tricky at first so start light

The key is to stay relaxed and let the movements flow, don’t tense up and let your body move with the kettlebell

Once it clicks it’s a simple drill that ticks a lot of boxes
