‘Aww, that man has taken his hat off’
Something that we never get tired of hearing from the front of the limousine.

Bowing your head, pausing your work, the holy trinity or taking off your hat only takes a second, but truly matters more than what you can imagine.

Sometimes we just don’t know how we should act when we see a hearse and cortège. Sometimes we are so busy in our own minds we don’t realise we have pulled into a cortège.
We appreciate people can be late, roads are busier, you may have somewhere to be or something important to do.

We gently ask, please take brief moment to let the funeral pass. To keep the respect of bowing your head or tipping your hat. To be patient. To allow loved ones to keep together. To acknowledge that someone has sadly died. To show the respect we would all wish to receive back one day

A donations box at a funeral offers a meaningful way for family and friends to honour a loved one’s memory.

Instead of, or alongside, flowers, it gives people the opportunity to support a cause that held significance to the person who has died.

Each contribution, no matter the size, becomes a lasting tribute.

The donations box is not just practical, but deeply personal, turning grief into a gesture of kindness and remembrance.

You will usually find our box at the back of the Church or Crematorium.
