So many of us carry tension in the neck and upper back — but true relief comes from building strength with control, not force.

In Pilates, shoulder stability involves gently activating the muscles that support your joints, which helps improve posture, reduce tension, and protect against injury.

🧘‍♀️ Focus on: • Keeping shoulders relaxed away from your ears
• Slow, controlled arm movements
• Gentle activation through the upper back
• Deep 4x4 breath — inhale for 4, exhale for 4

✨ Try this: Lying or seated, slowly raise your arms… pause… then lower with control.
Notice the difference when you slow it down and connect to your breath.

Less tension. More support. Better movement 💫

Fridayyy Reflection 💚🙏

These days I am finding it hard to know what to post on my page. As I see the potential my passion for Pilates is growing. I want this page to have a purpose so that my purpose can grow.

Those who know me , know I am transparent and real 😄

Here is my week's reflection, as I write in my journal I notice my normal morning mood is shifting and I have a hint of happiness, I am learning to keep looking for that throughout the day 😊

It's the little things that can make me smile, I nipped to a new takeaway, to my surprise I was given a FREE ice cream, as they weren't open, they were just sampling the treats before they open soon🍦 😋

It's Thursday Top Tip 💨 Pilates Breath Hack

Struggling to connect to your core? Try this:

👉 Inhale through your nose to prepare
👉 Exhale slowly through your mouth as if you’re blowing through a straw or even better relax your tongue and jaw, and exhale through your nose.

This controlled exhale helps: • Deeply engage your core muscles
• Support your spine
• Bring calm focus to your movement

✨ Think: “Exhale = let it all go Slow it down, feel the difference, and let your breath guide your flow, this is how I deliver my sessions.

Pilates balls for deep core activation, and the Solar Plexus+ resistance bands for shoulder strength improve posture to make the most of the diaphragmatic breath ✨

This week's focus is slow, controlled movement with deep diaphragmatic breathing. But why do we take it slow?

Because strength isn’t just about pushing harder — it’s about activating the right muscles. Using the Pilates ball challenges stability, while the band adds gentle resistance to build strength through the shoulders, upper back, and core.

Moving slowly allows you to:
• Improve muscle control and alignment
• Protect the joints (especially the shoulders)
• Deepen the mind–body connection
• Activate your core to support every movement

When we pair this with diaphragmatic breathing, we:
• Reduce tension in the neck and shoulders
• Improve oxygen flow to working muscles
• Support core engagement from the inside out
• Create a calm, focused nervous system

Self-care - weekend was filled with alone time and time with family and friends 🤩

Friday- Selfie TV night.
Saturday- Clubland with Ella Ball, Debs Gray and Chloe Gray
Sunday- celebrating Sophia Alva's 21st birthday.
Monday- a walk to Haigh Hall.

Spending time like this is what life is all about !!

Wellbeing Sessions week 🙌
Energetic Alignment session focusing on Solar Plexus, this is where we gain confidence and control to open our chest, improve our lung capacity, movements based on spine twists, core strength and upper body strength using Pilates balls and bands.
