Day 13: A meditation for calm.
For today, a simple meditation:
Be comfortable and quiet, and gently close the eyes.
Notice the natural rhythm of your breath, the inhale and the exhale.
Perhaps imagine that you can hear that breath like you might hear the gentlest waves rolling on and off the shore.
As you inhale, the waves draw a little closer, an as you exhale, they ebb gently away.
Notice, as everything else seems a little more distant, a little less important.
Just for now.

Update: I scheduled this 3 weeks ago, and now it seems even more apt than ever.

Wandered down to the beach to watch the sunset, but the clouds have just got in the way.
Still, it is so incredible to be here, Sunday evening on the beach with all the locals - kite flying, swimming, family time, just being.
Such simple pleasures, my feet in the sand.

Day 11: Our last day on retreat.....
Today we say farewell to the beautiful Dewalokum.
And I say "see you later" to all of my beautiful yogis as I head up the coast for a few days of true R&R on my own.

And for you today: boost your energy in just one minute.
Ever tried breath of fire? Here’s how. Sit tall, relax your shoulders. Inhale gently, then exhale quickly through your nose by pumping your belly in and out. Keep a steady, rhythmic pace. Try 10 rounds, then pause and notice the buzz.
And then slow things down again....long slow inhale, longer slower exhale.
And then return to your day when you are ready!
