ASH DIE -BACK
As you'll have seen in previous posts we have been called upon to remove several ash affected by this fungus, but as I drive to and from work I am noticing more and more Ash trees which have been affected. The prediction is that we will loose 80% of these beautiful trees in the UK. Below is a picture taken on my way home from work today on the road to Parsonby, where a1/4 mile avenue of Ash are now in serious decline.
If you have an infected tree I strongly suggest you get it dealt with sooner rather than later, before it becomes too brittle for a tree surgeon to climb.
Sad, very, very Sad, what a difference this will make to our landscape.
There is a lot of info on the web but here is the link to the Woodlands Trusts page https://www.woodlandtrust.org.uk/trees-woods-and-wildlife/tree-pests-and-diseases/key-tree-pests-and-diseases/ash-dieback/
