“Thank you very much for your kind words. We’re delighted to be supporting Wyrley Juniors Football Club and the fantastic work you are doing for local young people. It’s a privilege to contribute towards the development of your facilities, and we look forward to seeing the pitches enjoyed by the community for many years to come.”

We are delighted to have installed our Harrison’s Pitches sponsor board today.

Both pitches are kindly sponsored by Jennifer Ashe & Son Funeral Directors - we are extremely grateful for their support and will publish another image with representatives of the business very soon.

Thanks so much Jennifer Ashe & Son Funeral Directors!!

We still have one pitch at our Long Lane ground that needs a sponsor. If you know a business that could help, please get in touch. All funds raised go towards developing our facilities for our young people.

Holocaust Memorial Day – 27 January

Today, we pause to remember the six million Jewish men, women and children who were murdered during the Holocaust, along with the millions of others who suffered and lost their lives through genocide and persecution.

We honour the memory of those who died, listen to the voices of survivors, and reflect on the importance of standing against hatred, intolerance and discrimination in all its forms.

At Jennifer Ashe & Son Funeral Directors, remembrance, dignity and compassion are at the heart of what we do. Today reminds us of the value of humanity, understanding and respect, lessons that remain as important now as ever.

🕯️ We remember.

Another early start for our dedicated team this weekend, as we support a family taking their loved one on their final journey.

Due to a number of factors, including family travelling from overseas, a weekday funeral simply wasn’t possible. Whilst we do also offer evening funerals, which are often more popular in the lighter summer months, this family chose a Saturday service that best suited their needs.

Many families don’t realise that evening and weekend funerals are available. At Jennifer Ashe & Son, we believe every family should be able to say goodbye in a way that feels right for them.

Whatever a family’s needs, we are always here to support them and to honour the wishes of those in our care.

Cervical Cancer Prevention Week

As Cervical Cancer Prevention Week comes to an end, it is still an important moment to pause and reflect on the value of awareness, early detection and prevention.

Cervical cancer can often be prevented through regular screening and early intervention. This week serves as a reminder of how vital it is to attend routine smear tests when invited, to seek medical advice if something doesn’t feel right, and to have open conversations about women’s health.

Raising awareness, even briefly, can help encourage understanding, reassurance and, ultimately, save lives.

This evening, our Personal Funeral Advisors Claire and Jimmi-Anne were pleased to be invited to join CityLife Magazine as they celebrated their 10th birthday anniversary at The Auction Cafe, Lichfield

It was a lovely evening recognising a decade of supporting local businesses, community voices and stories from across our region. CityLife Magazine has played an important role in showcasing what makes our area special, and it was a pleasure to be part of such a milestone celebration.

We would like to congratulate the CityLife team on reaching ten years and wish them every continued success for the future.

An extra early start for our team today as we prepare for today’s funerals to leave our Head Office in Willenhall.
It’s a snowy start, but thankfully the main roads are clear after the rain overnight.
Take care if you’re out and about this morning — and a little more rain might just help us all! 🌧️❄️

Today, we were honoured to support three families across the West Midlands as they said farewell to their loved ones — despite the snowy and bitterly cold conditions.

At St Peter’s Church, Yoxall, Operations Director Richard and his team conducted the funeral of a much loved lady. The snow resting across the ground added a quiet beauty to the surroundings, creating a peaceful setting for a heartfelt farewell. With an early start, the team took extra care to ensure the funeral cortege travelled safely through the snow.

Meanwhile, Funeral Director Jimmy was supporting a family in Walsall Wood, overseeing a truly beautiful horse-drawn funeral, carried out with dignity and care.

Lastly, Funeral Director Steven had the honour of taking a much loved gentleman on his final journey at Bushbury Crematorium supported by our team from Willenhall Branch and in-house Celebrant Joseph.

Whatever the weather, Jennifer Ashe & Son Funeral Directors are here to support families at their time of need. Although the day was cold, our team were out in force — ensuring every family received the care, respect and professionalism they deserve.

Our thoughts and prayers remain not only with the families we have cared for today, but also with those who are currently resting in our care, and with all the families we have had the honour of supporting in years gone by.

At Jennifer Ashe & Son, we are proud to be heading into the new year supporting ‘Donkeys E.A.R.S’ 🫏

Donkeys Ears offers equine-assisted activities and therapies using donkeys for people with special educational needs (SEN), families, care homes, and corporate groups, focusing on well-being and learning.

They provide tailored sessions like equine-assisted learning, mindful time with donkeys, and visits to community settings, aiming to improve mental health and social skills through gentle interactions. 💜

You may remember them from our wonderful Christmas Memorial Service at Cannock Crematorium, and, during the service, we kindly raised £100 for the charity. Thank you so much to everyone who generously donated, and to the donkeys, and Jo from Donkeys E.A.R.S, for coming along to our service. We are looking forward to supporting you throughout 2026.🙏🏻💜

Day 12 of our 12 days of kindness: Christmas Day.

Today, our thoughts rest with those who may be finding the day a little heavier than usual. Christmas can stir many emotions, especially when someone special is no longer here to share it. If this season feels different for you, we hope you find small moments of comfort and kindness throughout the day. We’re here for you, always.🕊️

And for those spending today in celebration, we hope it brings light, warmth, and moments to cherish.🙏🏻

Day 11 of our 12 Days of Kindness – Jennifer Ashe & Son Memory Tree 🌳

As we approach Christmas, we would like to warmly invite the families we have had the privilege of caring for to visit either our Brownhills or Willenhall branch and place a note on our memory trees in honour of your loved ones.

We have already received an incredibly touching response, with many beautiful memories being shared and cherished.

If you are unable to visit a branch in person, please don’t worry. Simply call your chosen branch and speak with one of our lovely team members, who will be more than happy to place a note on the tree on your behalf.

As we come together in kindness and remembrance, these trees become a symbol of love that lives on. Thank you for allowing us to be part of such meaningful moments. 🌿💜

Day 10 of our 12 days of kindness: Mince pie delivery to Wyrley Rose Care home 🥧

We were pleased to donate the remaining mince pies from our Christmas memorial service’s to Wyrley Rose Care Home, who we have worked with closely throughout the year. It’s always a pleasure to support our local community, especially at this time of year.

Moments like these remind us of the importance of connection, kindness, and community, especially during the Christmas season. We would like to thank the team at Wyrley Rose for the ongoing care and compassion they show every day, and we hope that the residents enjoyed a well-deserved festive treat.

Thank you to Wyrley Rose, and for their continued support of Jennifer Ashe & Son Funeral Directors🙏🏻💜
