Day 8 of our 12 days of kindness: Flower arrangement donation by for Pelsall Community and arts centre Christmas fayre🖼️

On Friday, Pelsall Community and Arts Centre hosted a wonderful Christmas Fayre filled with festive cheer. They held a raffle and raised an amazing £803, which is truly fantastic. As part of our 12 Days of Kindness, we were delighted to donate a stunning flower arrangement by as a raffle prize. 🏆

Day 6 of our 12 days of kindness: Our Willenhall Bereavement group🎁

Today our Willenhall Bereavement, friendship group came together for the final time in 2025, for our third Christmas gathering!

What began as a support group has truly grown into a circle of friendship, understanding and shared strength. Today everyone enjoyed a 2-course meal, Christmas crackers, and a secret Santa that brought plenty of smiles!☺️

What touched us most though, was something we didn’t expect! The families who attend the group quietly came together to make a generous donation to the Max & George Dog’s Charity, a cause we hold close at Jennifer Ashe & Son. Their kindness, and thoughtfulness meant so much to us.🥰

These groups remind us of the importance of community after loss — a place where people continue to support one another long after the funeral is over.

Day 5 of our 12 days of kindness: Gift donation to Wulfrun Rose Care home 🎁

Today, we headed down to Wulfrun Rose Care Home, who we have worked closely with over the year, and provided them with lots of lovely chocolate selection boxes ahead of their Christmas Fayre this Saturday!🎄

Day 4 of our 12 days of kindness: Volunteering at St Luke’s Christmas Tree Festival in Cannock🎄

Today is international volunteer day, and so we wanted to appreciate Jimmi-Anne, our personal funeral advisor from our Hednesford branch. Jimmi-Anne volunteered at St Luke’s Church in Cannock for their Christmas Tree Festival, and what a day it was!

The turn out was amazing with over 1500 people showing up across the 3 days including local businesses, schools, and charities! The church was packed out with stalls of all kinds, a cafe, a raffle and much more! 🎟️

St Luke’s Church was decorated beautifully as you can see from our photos, and all money raised is going towards Katherine House, and St Luke’s Church. St Luke’s spent over £100,000 on maintaining the church last year- so every penny is greatly appreciated.⛪️

Thank you again to Jimmi-Anne for volunteering within our local community, and to St Luke’s Chruch, Cannock, for putting on a brilliant, festive event!💜

Day 3 of our 12 days of kindness: Our Annual Jennifer Ashe & Son Christmas Memorial Service!🙏🏻

Over two consecutive evenings, we were honoured to host our Christmas Memorial Services at Cannock Chase Crematorium and Mercia Forest Crematorium

Both evenings were incredibly special — a time to pause, reflect, remember, and come together as a community during what can be a very emotional time of year.

We were overwhelmed by the warmth and support shown by everyone who attended. From sharing mince pies, biscuits, and coffees, to the smiles brought by our wonderful donkey visitors, the atmosphere was one of comfort, reflection, and togetherness.💜

A huge thank you to Rev. Martyn Jinks for leading the services with such compassion and care. Thank you to every single person who joined us and entrusted us to honour their loved ones.

We are also incredibly grateful to the entire Jennifer Ashe & Son team who helped put everything together and who continue to support families across our community every day.

Finally, a very special thank you to Donkey EARS for joining us and bringing comfort, joy, and many smiles to families and our team alike at what can be a difficult time.🫏

We feel truly privileged to have shared these evenings with you.

Day 2 of our 12 days of kindness: Bauble decorating at our Brownhills/ Hednesford bereavement group!🎄

Today, we decided to surprise our Brownhills bereavement group with a Bauble decorating activity, and it’s safe to say it went down very well! Everyone had so much messy and creative fun, and we are so glad to have made everybody smile💜

A big thank you to Claire, and Rachel our lovely Personal Funeral Advisers from our Brownhills branch for today, and for their continued support of the bereavement group, hosting it on a monthly basis for any families we have cared for here at Jennifer Ashe & Son funeral directors.🙏🏻

Grief Awareness Week 2025 is a reminder that grief is a journey, and not something to be rushed. 🕊️

At Jennifer Ashe & Son, as Funeral Directors, we’re honoured to support families beyond the service, which is why we hold two bereavement groups for those we have cared for.

Throughout December, we’ll also be sharing our 12 Acts of Kindness — from volunteering within the local community, to supporting care homes, to donating and spreading small acts of compassion in our community.

We’d love for you to follow along on the journey with us. 💜

These heartfelt services provides a quiet and comforting space to gather, reflect, and honour the precious memories of those we love — especially during the festive season.

If you would like to attend one of these two services, please email Christmas@jafunerals.co.uk with the service you plan to join and the number of guests attending.

You may also send a photograph of your loved one if you wish for them to be included in our memorial tribute. Please note that the deadline for submitting photographs is 5pm on Thursday 27th November.

We hope this gentle time of remembrance brings comfort, warmth, and togetherness as we approach Christmas.
