Feedback from one of our clients following training. Names redacted for patient confidentiality.

I asked ######x if he had completed the First Aid Training in December 2025, he said that he had and that the person who delivered the training was very good, and made the whole day enjoyable and fun whilst still enabling the participants to learn.
######xx went on to tell me that he is grateful that he did the course and that it is useful not just for fostering but for everyday life. A few weeks after completing the First Aid training, there was an incident at work where one of ######x colleagues had collapsed and went into cardiac arrest. Two other colleagues had found him but were working on instinct as they were not First Aid trained. ######x was able to put into practice all that he had learnt on the course and guide them through the compressions and what else to do. When the ambulance workers arrived and worked on the individual, they commended ######xx and his colleagues for what they did, stating that they saved the man's life. ######x said that his colleague was non-responsive for 8 minutes.
I commended ######xx for his actions, and we all agreed that it was fortunate that he had completed the training when he did, as he knew what to do and was able to help his colleague.
I think this is something we can share with the ######### to remind them of the importance of First Aid and that it is useful for all.
I just wanted to bring this to your attention. ######x said that he is going to pop into SafeAid to thank the trainer and to let him know that the training he did came in the nick of time enabling him to save his colleagues life!
