Even without a traditional service, there is still the option to choose a meaningful memorial if that is wished for by family members. From beautiful gardens within our grounds, personalised plaques and jewellery, to urns and keepsakes to have at home.

Remembrance comes in many forms and we would be honoured to support you with any memorial wishes you may have.

In our pond at Haltemprice we have some amazingly beautiful fish. Tom, the business leader, has been out feeding them this morning, which is most definitely their favourite time of the day.

I can totally understand the families who call to see if children visiting can feed the fish, it is so nice to see the fish up close. Anyone calling, can make contact with our office to get some fish food to go and say hello to them .

A glorious morning in our beautiful memorial gardens. Been out having a walk around this morning.

I have taken some further photographs to show them off. Sara and Tom yesterday were on further memorial training across in Sheffield area.

On the training we had an update on products available as well as being able to share experiences with other memorial consultants from around the company.

The main part that came out of the training was compassion and how that is so important in our workplace. There were many examples of how we help families create their everlasting memories.

We work in a privileged position helping families.

Brochures of options will be sent out to all families having cremations at Haltemprice, to ensure families have the information of what can be done around memorials.

Please see some new arrivals at Haltemprice Crematorium today. Our teddy memorial has arrived, there will be development happening around this.

Also, we have 2 benches with plaque options situated on 2 sides of the fountain area.

There is also a granite heart with flower vases, again situated near to our fountain.

Meet Sara, our memorial consultant, based here at Haltemprice Crematorium. Sara has worked here for over 5 years helping families create a lasting memorial for their loved ones.

Sara will meet and advise families, take them on tours of the gardens, provide options and guidance. She will then take them through the process of the wording, getting a proof completed, liaison with the suppliers and making the memorial happen.

She will liaise with garden staff, getting the plot reserved, built and then arrange any interment or ashes to be scattered.

Sara has literally helped hundreds of families since working here, a perfect example of how she helped was in front of my eyes moments ago when a gentleman came in thanking her and singing her praises.

When not at work Sara is a fantastic runner, who runs with a club and spends lots of time with her family.

Next week we are taking delivery of communal granite benches that will be placed near to the fountain area, these will have plaque options on them.

This will provide opportunities for visitors to the gardens to have a sit down, it could be to reflect or simply admire our beautiful fountain.

We are also taking delivery of a beautiful granite teddy bear, which has plaque options and a granite heart, again with plaque options. The photo of the teddy is not taken on our site but to give you sight of how it looks.

These options will be available by next week and I look forward to being able to show you where the bear will be placed, also likewise with the heart. Both are beautiful examples of different memorials being added to our gardens here.

This is a massive thank you to Alan and Keith for their incredible efforts that they have put in whilst working as gardeners here at the Haltemprice Crematorium.

Both have very recently left the Crematorium and they are big boots to fill. we are in the process of recruiting and will promise to do all we can to ensure our gardens remain beautiful.

Tom has been interviewing here today. Anyone who knows them will miss them both. Good luck for the future gentlemen and always welcome back to come and see us.

If any of you have good stories or memories to share with Alan or Keith please feel free to comment, I will ensure they get them passed on. We as staff have so many thank you messages to dish out alone .

A busy week at Haltemprice for the staff, we have had lots of families and friends through our grounds with some very busy services.

Working here staff have to pull together to complete many tasks to try and make all as perfect as they can for everyone who comes through our gates.

Our fountain has had so many gardens built around it, that it won't be long before we are looking at our next development within the gardens.

I can assure you what we will aim to do is build another feature that will further enhance our beautiful memorial gardens. If any of you have any ideas that you think would help us accomplish it, feel free to contact me on my email.

A massive thank you to Alan and Keith who have built so many fantastic gardens and areas within the grounds, all for the benefit of local families. The recently added fountain area has been received so well by families coming to look around and decide on memorial options within our grounds at Haltemprice Crematorium.
