NHS Humber and North Yorkshire

NHS Humber and North Yorkshire Together we form the complex system of organisations that are responsible for planning, paying for and providing health and care services within the area.

We are responsible for planning NHS healthcare across the Humber and North Yorkshire, joining together health and care services to improve the health and wellbeing of our communities. Humber and North Yorkshire Health and Care Partnership (ICS) is a collaboration of nearly 30 different organisations across a geographical footprint of more than 1500 square miles taking in cities, market towns and remote rural and coastal communities.

This week we held our September Board meeting and wanted to share some reflections and highlights from our Chair Jason Stamp and Acting Chief Executive Teresa Fenech:

✅ Appreciation for colleagues’ continued commitment and hard work across HNY.

✅ A strong commitment to continue our inclusive Integrated Care Partnership (ICP), driving collaboration, innovation, and creativity – with new opportunities to work closely with Combined Mayoral Authorities (CMAs).

✅ National updates including Model Region and the National Outcomes Framework (NOF), recognising the need to balance financial goals with quality care and patient experience.

✅ Focus on patient voice: welcoming the rollout of Martha’s Rule, ensuring concerns are heard and second opinions are accessible.

✅ Continued commitment to learning, improvement, and constructive use of data.

✅ Governance updates, including risk management (cyber security and counter fraud), alongside approval of key documents to ensure clarity in decision-making.

Together, we remain focused on quality care, patient experience, and system-wide collaboration 💙

A huge thank you to all colleagues across the Humber and North Yorkshire Partnership that have worked so hard to bring the vision for the Hull Community Diagnostic Centre to reality.

Based on the corner of Albion Steet and Bond Street, the centre is intended to speed up access to diagnostic tests including MRI, CT, phlebotomy and X-rays, relieving pressure on hospital-based teams and increasing convenience for patients through its central location and improved transport links.

Over time, more services including ultrasound, respiratory and cardiology will also begin to offer community-based diagnostic clinics here.

As well as enabling patients to access diagnostic tests more quickly, it is hoped that increased footfall in this part of the city centre will help to promote regeneration and increased spending among local businesses.

The centre is now open and welcoming patients.
