Over a month alcohol-free – here’s what I’ve learned
I used to drink socially, never at home, but sometimes those social occasions ended up being too much, and drinking after 40 … 😓
Here’s what I’ve discovered since stopping:
1️⃣ Real connection doesn’t need alcohol. If it’s genuine, you can relax and have fun without a drink.
2️⃣ It can feel strange at first. You might wonder, “Am I boring?” But once you let conversations unfold naturally, showing up as your authentic self feels amazing.
3️⃣ Your health gets a boost. My energy levels have soared, and it’s so much easier to make healthy choices.
Being alcohol-free feels so good, I’m not sure I’ll want to go back! 🍋
A friend asked how long I’ll keep this up – I’ve decided to see how I feel once I’ve reached my goal weight, the same as when I lived in Italy, where the drinking culture is so different from here in the UK…
