As many of you will know, I have been creating an online fertility course (The Fertility Formula) for the last few years. I am pleased to share that it is almost completed and will be launching in the next few weeks.

Fertility is often a subject that is kept in the shadows and not discussed openly. One of the things that can reassure people who are struggling to conceive, is hearing the stories from others who have been in their shoes.

The Two Week Wait can be the most challenging time when you're trying to conceive, as you've done everything you can this cycle to get pregnant. It's just as difficult whether you're trying naturally or you're completing an IVF cycle.

Here are some of my positive affirmations that I use in the clinic, to help you find a calm, optimistic mindset.

What is it about a bump that makes us so envious when we are trying to get pregnant?

Nothing hurts quite as deep as watching a friend, colleague or family member gently blooming, whilst we are still waiting for a positive test result.

Sometimes these strong, overwhelming feelings can come as quite a shock. But they don't mean that you are not kind, gentle and excited for them, it's just such a visual reminder that you are not where you want to be on your path to motherhood - yet.

I want to reassure you that these feelings are completely normal. And in my experience, they vanish the moment their baby arrives. Please don't hide away from your emotions, talk about them (even if the dog is the best listener in the room). Vocalising your feelings can help them to pass.

The Christmas magic is in the air - this week I have had the joy of seeing one of my beautiful patients just before her miracle baby arrives 🤍

And it seems the Christmas stork is on the move too - 6 new pregnancy announcements in the last week. All of these early pregnancies have come after many long years of ttc - so whilst all babies are special - these have extra magical fairy dust on them.

Only one more clinic day of the year left to go, let's hope there's more good news to come ✨
