🐾💛 We had a lovely visit from the Guide Dogs Trust today! They came for a chat with our residents, and everyone enjoyed spending time with the beautiful dogs. Lots of smiles, cuddles, and wagging tails all around! 🐶✨

The flu season has hit more than a month earlier than usual, with cases three times higher than this time last year. This increase has prompted concerns of flu spreading into the wider population in the coming weeks and triggering a “long and drawn-out flu season”.

The flu virus changes every year, so it’s important to get a vaccination each year to ensure your and your family’s protection and to help reduce the spread to others.

Many residents in care homes are especially vulnerable due to general frailty or having several long-term health conditions. We respectfully request that anyone with flu or COVID-19 symptoms - including high temperature, cough and feeling tired or achy - should minimise contact with others, especially those who are vulnerable. This includes avoiding visiting those living in care homes if you are experiencing these symptoms.

When visiting care homes, please ensure that infection prevention control measures are followed, including handwashing on arrival and before leaving the building, and considering wearing a face mask whilst in the care home.

What a wonderful way to wrap up the week! ✨🐾
Today we welcomed a very special group of inspiring animals who brought along a whole team of fluffy friends to brighten our day. From gentle cuddles to curious sniffs and lots of happy wagging, our residents were absolutely delighted. 💛

These visits always bring such warmth and connection—there’s something truly magical about the comfort and joy animals can share. The smiles, laughter, and meaningful moments they create stay with us long after they leave. 🐶🐰🐥

We’re already looking forward to their next visit!

What a wonderful afternoon we had! 🎶✨
Our residents were treated to a beautiful performance by singer Deborah McCormick, whose lovely voice filled the room and brought back so many cherished memories for everyone. 💛

We had another wonderful visit this week from our lovely PAT (Pets As Therapy) duo — Charlene and the adorable Chase! 🐾💛

Our residents absolutely light up when Chase arrives… and who can blame them? He’s always ready for cuddles, tail wags, and spreading pure joy around the home! 🐶🤗✨
