Another day of dry eye consultations at C&I in - we have been blown away by the response to our new private clinic during its first year.

The feedback from patients has been absolutely amazing and the whole team are so happy to be able to offer real and lasting results.

If you have dry eye (dry/watery/gritty and so much more,) please know - we can help. Our private first floor clinic is open for all, you don’t need to be a patient, and on that note, thank you to other optometrists referring in. A collaborative approach is key for optics to move forward stronger and more unified.

Our DM’s are open - don’t suffer with symptoms we could help you with. Ask away….

We’re Hiring – Full-Time Receptionist / Optical Assistant
Based primarily in Knutsford with occasional cover at Wilmslow

Clare & Illingworth is seeking a warm, proactive and highly organised individual to join our front-of-house team.

This is more than just a reception role, it’s about creating exceptional first impressions, supporting the patient journey, and being a vital part of our well-respected independent practice.

Whether welcoming clients, managing bookings, or supporting our clinical and dispensing teams, you’ll represent the calm, professional and friendly ethos we’re known for.

What we’re looking for:
• A confident, people-focused individual who thrives in a busy, varied environment
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and switch between tasks with ease
• A proactive mindset and willingness to take ownership of your role
• A team player who embodies the Clare & Illingworth brand: polished, calm, and attentive
• Previous optical experience is ideal, but not essential as full training will be provided

This is a full-time role working every Saturday, with a weekday day off.

The position is based primarily at our Knutsford practice, with flexibility to cover Wilmslow when needed.

If you’re someone who takes pride in delivering excellent service, keeps things running smoothly behind the scenes, and enjoys being part of a supportive team, we’d love to hear from you.

Yesterday, we spent time with Dior’s eyewear collection, crafted by Thélios, and were reminded just how much goes into a single frame.

The frames are being prepared and checked at HQ ready for FLASH FASHION this Saturday, 11am at then in stores acrosss all day.

The Westbourne frame (pictured,) is part of the Notting Hill inspired collection and this frame takes its name from the famous Westbourne Grove, one of the brand’s favourite spots in London.

This hexagonal shape has taken inspiration from the Taylor Morris monogram and is a standout piece in the collection.
