Heart Health Month is a timely reminder of how important it is to look after our heart at every stage of life — particularly as we get older.

Simple daily habits can make a real difference, such as eating balanced meals, staying gently active, keeping warm, managing stress, and taking prescribed medication as directed. Regular routines and a supportive environment can help make these habits easier to maintain.

At Caremark Cheshire North East, our carers support clients with day-to-day activities that promote heart health, from preparing nutritious meals and encouraging safe movement, to offering companionship and reassurance. Just as importantly, we take the time to listen, helping reduce loneliness and anxiety, which can also impact overall wellbeing.

For families, having the right support in place can provide peace of mind, knowing their loved one is being cared for with dignity and respect in the comfort of their own home.

This month, we encourage everyone to take a moment to check in with themselves and with those they care about. Small, consistent steps can help support a healthier heart and a better quality of life.
