Please consult with a mental health or legal services provider for individual counselling or consultation regarding the personal health and well-being of your children or yourself. My name is Dr Hannah Taylor and I am a Clinical Psychologist. I am registered with the Health Care Professions Council. I have established this profile specifically to faciltate my own professional interests in promoting the wellbeing of the general public. As such I am happy to interact with professionals, service users and carers via this profile. I work across predominantly online via video platforms such as zoom or Skype. I tailor my therapeutic approach to the needs of the individual, working alongside the client to help them to live rich and meaningful lives, and to achieve their goals. Since qualifying as a Clinical Psychologist, I have been working in the NHS and also privately with adults with a broad range of mental health problems using evidence based, effective psychological therapy. Continued professional development is important to me and I continue to enhance my own skills and knowledge through relevant training and supervision. Since qualification I have received extensive training in Acceptance and Commitment therapy and Compassion Focused Therapy. I offer a professional, confidential, compassionate, non-judgmental approach to clients. Therapy is tailored to your needs, with the aim of helping you to gain an understanding of your difficulties and working with you and supporting you to overcome them. I work with adults (over 16 years old) who experience a variety of difficulties including: social anxiety, panic attacks, health anxiety, stress, depression, trauma difficulties, psychosis, relationship difficulties, and general dissatisfaction with life. As a Clinical Psychologist I am trained in providing more than one type of therapy. Those which I provide are Cognitive-Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment therapy (ACT), and Compassion-Focused therapy (CFT). Any intervention offered is based upon individual need and the psychological formulation of the individual’s current difficulties. An initial assessment would ascertain what might be the most appropriate form of therapy. Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is a type of psychotherapy that helps you accept the difficulties that come with life. ACT has been around for a long time but seems to be gaining media attention lately. ACT is a form of mindfulness based therapy, which suggests that greater well-being can be achieved by learning ways of overcoming negative thoughts and feelings. The aim is to help you lead a rich and meaningful life, whilst coping with the struggles that life inevitably brings. I run small group ACT workshops for men and women who feel they want to learn more valuable skills in being able to manage the challenges life can throw at us. These groups are very popular so please get in touch if you would like to know when the next workshop is running. I also offer an assessment only service, which is usually requested by individuals looking for a “one-off” psychological report. This report would include a full assessment of the individual’s difficulties, and future recommendations for their psychological well-being. Areas of assessment include adult ADHD and psychological disorders (including post-traumatic stress disorder). Please enquire further regarding fees associated with a psychological report. I am registered with a number of health insurance providers.

If you can make the time for a quick morning journal it was really set you up well for the day. This could be when you wake up, or when you start your working day. I haven’t got into that routine yet as mornings tend to be full on for me but one day I hope that I can bring a morning journal ritual into me life!

Thanks for the lovely feedback 🙏

Suzanne Moore, a Family Lawyer from our Bramhall office, had the pleasure of attending an insightful networking event on Wednesday at The Crown and Conspirator in Bramhall ✨.

Hats off to the hosts, Elevate Networking and Events, for a well-organised experience. The guest speakers brought valuable perspectives to the table. Dr Hannah E. Taylor, Clinical Psychologist, shed light on the benefits of journaling to our well-being and how to be less self-critical. 🤝 Abi Owers, Marketing Consultant, talked about the courage to change. Thank you!

I've just finished working with my final client of the year and I'm looking forward to a gorgeous evening session with my online journalling community before I clock off for the Christmas break.

I want to take a moment to send my heartfelt wishes to each and every one of you at this time 🧡 Christmas is a time of joy for many, but it can also be a challenging time for many too. If you find yourself facing difficulties or feeling the weight of the season, please know that you're not alone.

In the midst of the festivities, let's remember to extend kindness and compassion to ourselves and others. 🤗💕

When times feel challenging, take a moment to breathe, connect with the little things that feel good 🕊️

This year for me has been a journey filled with growth and gratitude, and some challenges too! I’m really leaning into gratitude because there are so many other humans in the world experiencing trauma and fear.

I am immensely thankful for the incredible support you've shown me and my work. I love what I do and If I can help just one person find a way to create a more compassionate relationship with themselves then I'm happy 🙏🏼

May this Christmas bring you peace, love, and moments of contentment.✨

With warmest wishes as always,
Hannah

👋 I'm Dr. Hannah Taylor, a Clinical Psychologist with over 20 years experience into the world of mental health and wellbeing. 🧠

✨ I was born and bred in Manchester and despite all the rain, I love this city.

🏖 In 2022 I felt drawn to living near the sea in Cornwall and moved there for a year. Whilst I loved being there, my heart is firmly in the North of England.

📚 I've spent a good chunk of my life buried in psychology books, specialising in compassion-focused therapy, journalling and therapeutic writing. I've witnessed some incredible transformations working with clients using these approaches 💪

📓 I'm the founder of the Inner Pages Online Journaling Club – my online creative hub for curious minds exploring the magic of journaling. 🖋️✨ (see bio for more info or to join us)

🎵 I'm a massive music fan and the radio is a constant in my house. Using music to support my mood and wellbeing is such a powerful tool to have. 🎶

🌳 I know it's a cliché but I love being out in nature, yoga, and the occasional cold water dip (yes, even in Manchester!) It's keep me grounded and content but also energises me when I need it.

💬 I offer online 1:1 therapy for those navigating life's ups and downs. I support people to develop a more compassionate and supportive relationship with themselves and understand themselves better. I give people the tools they need to navigate the challenges of life. Let's understand you with compassion and make those positive changes together.

😄 I pride myself on being down-to-earth and having a warm approach to my work – therapy is serious, but there's always space for humour and celebrating the wins. I get the human struggle, and I'm here to support those wanting to make changes.

📔 I love running the Inner Pages Online Journal Club – i's a treasure trove of resources, templates, and journalling sessions aimed at boosting your wellbeing and self-development.
