Hope in the ashes.

This morning Spotify greeted me with a gift in the form of a message from one of my favourite singers, Lilly Meola, hope in the ashes.

The lyrics remind me of my own journey to finding hope in the ashes, at the beginning of last year sat with a broken heart, my life in pieces and no choice but to find a path beyond all the chaos and a better future, because repeating cycle of time in the same way again wasn’t an option.

No matter how many times I had sent the pain and problems away wrapped on a boat made of steel and stone mentioned in the song, it hadn’t worked. They were not going away and I had to find the answers to putting all the million little pieces back together and filling the void again, in a way that the universe hadn’t shown me before.

What do you do when time and space have lost you something you can’t replace? Well for me the hope in the ashes came in the form of an astrology reading and then learning for myself how to read what is above me in the stars. My heart has been mended by so many hands mentioned in the song, but the hope in the ashes came from………….Astrology.
