Our intrepid volunteers took on Storm Benjamin on Day 1 of The White Horse Walk. The team completed 27km in wet and windy conditions.

The White Horse Walk is raising funds towards the upkeep of our wonderful ponies at RDA Wilton.

This half term, a group of our dedicated volunteers from The Pembroke Centre, home of Wilton RDA are lacing up their walking boots and hitting the bridleways and footpaths of North Wiltshire to walk 70km over 3 days.

They will be linking seven of the region’s iconic White Horses—Alton Barnes, Pewsey, Marlborough, Hackpen, Broad Town, Cherhill, and Devizes. While our hardworking ponies enjoy a well-earned break, the team will be raising vital funds for the Pembroke Centre.

2025 Creative Writing Competition- Now Open!

We are excited to announce the return of RDA Creative Writing competition with an additional Class!

The competition theme changes each year – this time it is ‘Celebration’. This gives participants the freedom to be as imaginative, reflective, or heartfelt as they like.

Poem (max 350 words): Doesn’t need to rhyme – just capture the spirit of RDA.
Letter (max 500 words): Write to someone special about an achievement, a favourite volunteer, or even a much-loved pony.
Short Story (max 500 words): Fiction or non-fiction – let creativity shine.
Picture Story (max 250 words): This can be comic style with some text, or collage and drawings.

Entries can be handwritten, typed, in braille with transcription, or include symbols such as Makaton. Illustrations and decorations are welcome but not required – the judges focus on imagination and content.

This year’s theme is Celebration at RDA.

Applications for RDA UK’s new Advisory Boards close in just one week!

This is a unique opportunity to contribute your expertise, provide strategic input, and help shape the future of our work. We’re looking for individuals from a range of backgrounds who are passionate about making a meaningful impact through inclusive, equine-based activities.

Our new Advisory Boards will focus on three key areas:

Member Group Quality and Standards – Supporting RDA UK in maintaining strong quality controls and high standards across all Member Groups.

Activity – Advising on the full range of RDA activities, including riding, carriage driving, equine-assisted services, and competitions.

Equine Welfare – Ensuring our horses receive the highest standards of care and are treated with compassion and respect.

If you're ready to play a vital role in helping RDA UK continue to deliver life-enhancing experiences through horses, we encourage you to apply.
