and I were working on the menu for the January retreat this last week. It’s still to be finalized but wanted to share with you some of the core things that we definitely will be serving up!

In line with my values - hop back a few posts - I want the food I eat and serve to be not only delicious and nutritious, but also natural and sustainable.

Looking here, you are rightly forgiven for thinking that all I do is flounce around the forests with Bailey, prepare food, and organise the odd retreat. In fairness, on here I also forget the rest too!

But actually, the main-stay of my work is online 1:1 nutrition and health coaching with clients, helping them to resolve a plethora of health symptoms.

So I thought it might be helpful to share a bit more about that with you too!

Anyone else feeling that contrasting pull between the magic of Christmas and doing all the things, and the slow hibernating energy of winter?

If there’s anything I’ve learnt from Christmases past it’s this - it’s ok to pick and choose, to save your energy for you and those you most want to spend it with. To not let it all go by in a blur and then have to sleep through January.

I sent this recipe out with my last newsletter and you can find it on my website too - such an easy but crowd pleasing dessert, I love it! Rich in protein, it’s also a more energy-steady dessert option, but you won’t feel like it was the “healthy choice”.

I was chatting with a client this last week about prepping for the big celebrations and this is definitely one that can be made in advance too - just pop it in the freezer and get it out the morning before you want to eat it. Simples!

How are you finding these dark mornings?

Since we can’t totally change those daily routines, I have found using a sunrise alarm clock such a fantastic way to wake me gently and allow me to more easily transition into the darker days. Our bodies love to be in tune with the natural circadian rhythm, even if we have to trick them a little…

Have you come across Earthing Sheets before? Perhaps you thought they were a bit woo-woo? Well I swear by mine and love how it reduced the inflammation in my cold feet that caused me chilblains over winter.

Studies so far are relatively small scale BUT they show improvements for inflammation, immune function, pain reduction, cardiovascular health and better sleep quality, and I am confident there will be more. This “bio-hack” brings people back into better alignment with nature and the natural environment of the earth without having to camp outdoors every night (and certainly not when it is -10 like it is here now!) and just makes sense to me.

Thinking so much about connection today and my beautiful community that sees me, allows me to see them, shares life, the ups and the downs, together.

At the end of the day, what we do doesn’t nearly matter as much as who we do it with and how we share this life. It’s the small moments of connection as much as the big things.

My Story

Are you tired all the time? Suffering from poor digestion or bloating? Don’t feel quite 100%? Are your hormones are in havoc? Struggling to lose that extra weight?

I'm a Nutritional Therapist based in South West London (Wimbledon, Raynes Park, Morden) offering one to one consultations, workshops and courses. And I’m passionate about both good food and health, which I am confident I can prove to you go hand in hand!

As a Mum of two young boys, I know how difficult it is to juggle our daily lives and still make good food choices, but changing my own diet and studying nutrition science was the best decision I ever made and one that that I’d love to share with you too!
