I’m a certified hypnotherapist and emotional health coach, and a regular wellbeing columnist for the New Stour & Avon magazine. I help use hypnotherapy, NLP, coaching and other techniques to help you overcome anxiety and fears, eliminate unwanted habits and discover the confidence and emotional freedom to live the life you really want.

I understand that change may feel daunting and impossible at first. You are not alone, as many others have felt that way, too. But the people I help have found that hypnotherapy provides them with an uplifting and life-changing experience that opens up new and immediate possibilities for them. Change doesn't have to be hard work, emotionally draining or require lots of willpower - I love helping people discover how easy and fun it is to access their own innate strengths to create a healthier, happier future for themselves. For the last few weeks I’ve been working with a brilliant group of hypnotherapists from the Jacquin Hypnosis Academy, sharing how I combine hypnotherapy with CBTi to combat my clients’ insomnia and sleep problems.

Today I learned something new and interesting - kiwi fruit can help your sleep! Kiwi is rich in serotonin, a neurotransmitter that helps regulate your sleep-wake cycle and promotes relaxation. Serotonin is also a pre-cursor to melatonin - your body concerts it into the hormone which signals its time to sleep. Kiwi also contains antioxidants, folate and magnesium, which all have roles to play in sleep regulation.

I know what I’ll be adding to my shopping list this week! 🥝

In my work as a hypnotherapist, I see clients with sleep struggles pretty much every day 😴

Anxious thoughts, work pressures, busy lives, overthinking, self-doubt – all of these keep the mind alert and active when the body is craving rest. The more you try to sleep, the further away sleep seems to go … and the cycle continues. Sound familiar?

GPs just aren't equipped to deal with this, and there is a lack of professionals adequately trained in sleep matters who they can refer you to, so sleeping pills are often the solution that is offered.

Our Story

Hello! Welcome to Sea Breeze Therapies. I’m a qualified clinical hypnotherapist and massage therapist based in Wimborne, and I specialise in helping people make lasting and positive changes to their lives.

You may be visiting my page because you are interested to know whether the therapies I offer can help you with your current life situation. You are possibly wondering if I have the right mix of life experience, relevant training and experience to help you change your life or achieve your goals. And if you are – you are asking all the right questions. I understand that it’s important to find a therapist who is the right match for YOU – somebody who ‘gets’ you and that you will feel comfortable working with.

My name is Susie and I live in Dorset with my husband, two young children and an energetic Irish Terrier named Rafferty. I worked in marketing and PR for more than 20 years, discovering a skill for building relationships and effective communication skills. I came to therapy work relatively late in life, becoming a qualified massage therapist when I was pregnant with my first son and built Sea Breeze Therapies up alongside my full time job .

Helping people has always come naturally to me, and I have a strong and sincere desire to help those around me lead happier, calmer, more fulfilled lives.
