Valentine’s Day Celebrations 🌹

Residents enjoyed a wonderful afternoon of Valentine crafts, baking special cakes, and arranging beautiful roses in vibrant colours. The room was full of laughter and conversation as everyone worked side by side, sharing ideas and admiring each other’s creations.

To make the day even sweeter, we finished with Valentine chocolates and treats while socialising together. A warm, joyful celebration of creativity, friendship, and love.

Windy Knickers! What a Laugh! 🎉

We’ve had an absolute blast playing our new game, Windy Knickers! The room was filled with laughter as everyone got caught up in the fun and silliness of it. It’s one of those wonderfully simple games that brings out big smiles, quick reactions, and plenty of giggles. A perfect reminder of how joyful shared moments can be.

🎉 Birthday Celebrations

We were delighted to celebrate two special birthdays recently — first Peter’s, followed a few days later by Doreen’s. Both enjoyed precious time with their families, sharing smiles, stories, and plenty of love.

Later in the day, each birthday star continued the celebrations with fellow residents, enjoying good company and a slice of delicious birthday cake. It was wonderful to see the lounge filled with chatter, laughter, and that unmistakable birthday buzz.

Sensory Hand Massage Afternoon 💗

Residents enjoyed a soothing pamper session, choosing their own beautifully scented hand creams for a relaxing hand massage.
The room was filled with the soft fragrance of rose potpourri and the warm glow of candles, creating a calming sensory experience. It was a peaceful, nurturing afternoon that left everyone feeling cared for and refreshed.🌹

🎉 A Truly Remarkable Milestone! 🎉

Our wonderful Kathleen celebrated her 100th birthday on Sunday 14th December — what an incredible achievement! 🥰

Kathleen started her special day with a lovely pub meal out with family and friends, followed by opening some of her birthday cards. Here at Waterloo, she received an astounding 120 cards from residents, team members, and the local community, including beautiful homemade cards from Verwood First School 🎨💌 — and that’s not even counting the cards she received while out with family and friends!

The celebrations didn’t stop there. We threw a joyful party in her honour 🥳, and Kathleen was overjoyed to receive a very special birthday card from The King. To top it all off, our local mayor, Councillor Spencer Flower, visited to personally present the card to her — a truly unforgettable moment 🎉💛.

Happy 100th Birthday, Kathleen! Your kindness, warmth, and incredible spirit inspire us all ❤️🎂
