Pub lunch ❤️
Jim and Mavis recently treated themselves to a delightful lunch at The Swans pub. After browsing the menu, they chose a dish that impressed them both—it looked fantastic and tasted even better. The warm atmosphere and delicious food made their visit truly special, and they left already looking forward to returning for another memorable outing.

Armchair Travel to Sri Lanka ✈️

We took a wonderful "armchair" trip to Sri Lanka recently to celebrate the New Year with our carers, Diana and Imisha. With our passports and boarding passes ready, we "flew" out to explore the country’s main landmarks and enjoyed videos of traditional dancers in stunning costumes.
It was a truly personal experience as Diana and Imisha shared stories of their homeland, modelled their beautiful national dress, and even brought in homemade traditional sweets for us to sample. The cultural journey continued at lunchtime with a delicious curry and naan bread. Tony particularly enjoyed browsing the Sri Lanka travel booklet, noting how interesting it was to learn about the culture.

Jay Miller’s Circus 🎪
Over the Easter period, we enjoyed a wonderful trip to see Jay Miller’s Circus. It was a spectacular show featuring a variety of amazing acts, including skilful jugglers, courageous acrobats, captivating aerial routines, and of course, the ever‑entertaining Clown Peppi!
Everyone had a fantastic time and also enjoyed tasty refreshments, including popcorn and candy floss.

Easter Party🦉
We had a wonderful Easter celebration, and residents and their families were delighted to meet some truly beautiful birds of prey when Bobbie from The Falcon Crest visited us during our Easter party.
There were three different types of owls, along with a kestrel, another stunning bird of prey. They were magnificent to see, and residents were thrilled to have the opportunity to hold an owl themselves.
A huge thank you to Bobbie for bringing these incredible birds to share such a special experience with us!

What a wonderful afternoon we had when the young jazz band Swing Squad entertained us. These talented youngsters truly wowed everyone with their skill and professionalism.
Our residents were toe‑tapping and clapping along as the band played, and many remarked on how lively and uplifting their performance was.
A big thank you to Swing Squad for bringing such joy to our afternoon — we can’t wait to see them again!

Had a lovely trip out with Jim today as we delivered food and toiletries to our community drop‑off point for our local food bank, The Trussell Trust.
