Meet the team Thursday 🎩
Chris Antell - funeral celebrant

Chris started life working on the family farm before running his own haulage business. Through a family bereavement and the close community of Verwood he became good friends with Nick and in the early 1990’s joined Nicholas O’Hara as a Funeral Director.

Chris we believe to be the first funeral celebrant in the UK and led his first service in 1994. As time passed his reputation for making funeral services personal and unique increased his role as a celebrant and this became his full time role just over 10years ago.

Chris today still actively leads services with the same enthusiasm and desire to make each funeral special for the families we serve together.

Thank you to all the amazingly kind people who brought in to our funeral homes Easter Eggs for us to donate to the Hope for Food challenge to make sure all local children have an egg this Easter.
Over 120 were donated and pictured is Jane O’Hara presenting them to Mary at the charities depot in Bournemouth.
