Why do some “high vibe” events leave us feeling pretty meh?
You know the ones, it looked awesome and you’ve spent a small fortune to be there..but something just isn’t landing.
So you smile, you play along, you tell yourself you’re having fun...but you’re not, not really... it feels like 'forced fun'
Ive been to a lot of festivals in my time and here’s the truth no one says out loud: Your nervous system doesnt buy the hype, because “high vibe” isn’t the same as high stimulation - loud music, big crowds, alcohol, people performing for each other, this can look like freedom, but feel like pressure. The moment you think "I should be enjoying this” you’ve already disconnected from yourself.
That’s where the flatness comes from afterwards and that weird “meh” feeling you can’t explain.
It’s not that you’ve lost your ability to have fun or 'i must be getting old' it’s that your body is getting better at recognising what isn’t for you and thats awesome
Real energy feels different, it’s not forced, it’s not performative and doesn’t need convincing.
If it feels like you can exhale, you’re fully yourself
and you’re not trying, you’re just in the moment, thats when you've found your people and your vibe
Sometimes it’s the smaller event, the right people and the right timing.
So next time you feel it… don’t override it.
That “meh” isn’t a problem, it’s your compass.
You can also tell the festivals that been created with soul and when it’s just been put together to make a lot of money from the get go. The best festivals aren’t accidental, they’re built with intention, a clear story and something real at their core.
You can always tell the ones that aren’t.
If its frequency alignment - thats where the magic is
