1998 Catherine joined the team at Wincanton CH, she has seen both staff and patients come and go and has now officially retired. We are all so grateful for everything Catherine has done, anything you need to know about the hospital Catherine will know, she has been the first person people see as they walk in and her friendly professionalism creates a welcoming environment. During her time at WCH Catherine has gone above and beyond to support the hospital, spending alot of her own time helping The Friends with fetes and various events. Catherine has been a valued member of our team, reliable and dedicated she will be hugely missed by us all. There are some exceptionally large shoes to fill behind our reception desk 🙁 Thank you Catherine, we wish you a long and very happy retirement!

This afternoon patients and staff enjoyed a Carol Service. Volunteer Sue from the Chaplaincy Team lead the service and we sang carols, ‘lit’ candles and listened to a reading.
Afterwards we had tea and mince pies to round off the afternoon.
