Providing Chiropractic care since 1994 to the Dorset and Somerset area, we are a family run practice which offers an individually tailored treatment plan. Our clinics in Wincanton, and the GP surgeries in Sherborne, Stalbridge and Queen Camel, offer appointments 6 days a week. Weekend, evenings and an out of hours emergency appointments are available. February 4th is World Cancer Day, a day that reminds us just how many lives are touched by cancer in one way or another.

At Wincanton Chiropractic Clinic, this is something very close to home. One of our team members has bravely undergone three operations in the past to keep cancer at bay and continues to attend regular check-ups.
We’re incredibly thankful to say that everything is currently well.

Almost all of us know someone — a family member, friend, colleague, or patient — who has been affected by cancer. It’s a journey that goes far beyond physical symptoms, and we believe that being listened to, supported, and cared for makes a real difference.

Our team is here to help however we can, offering a range of supportive treatments including:

• Osteopathy
• Lymphatic drainage

Above all, we’re here to listen, to support you, and to walk alongside you in whatever way feels right for you.

At Wincanton Chiropractic Clinic, we’ll be sharing healthy heart tips each week throughout February, starting this week!

💡 Heart Health Tip #1: Move well, sit well, stress less

✔ Movement: Regular gentle movement such as walking, stretching, or mobility exercises helps support circulation and overall heart health. Even small amounts throughout the day make a difference.
✔ Posture: Poor posture can restrict breathing and increase tension. Sitting and standing tall allows better oxygen flow and reduces unnecessary strain on your body.
✔ Stress reduction: Chronic stress can affect both your heart and your muscles. Deep breathing, regular movement, and taking short breaks during the day can help calm your nervous system.
Your spine and nervous system play a key role in how your body adapts to daily stresses — caring for them supports your overall wellbeing, including your heart.

This week’s warming favourite is Roast Parsnip Soup — perfect for cold January days.
It’s made with:

🌿 Coriander seeds, cumin seeds, turmeric & mustard seeds
🧅 1 large onion
🧄 2 garlic cloves
🥕 675g parsnips
🍅 2 plum tomatoes

This is one of Kirsty’s go-to soups to have ready after a refreshing dog walk with Mabel 🐾 — hearty, comforting, and packed with nourishing ingredients.
