🌿 April Stress Awareness Month
Stress isn't a weakness, it's your body's wisdom asking for change 💗💗
Stress is part of daily living, but when stress levels are high on a consistent basis, sickness and dis-ease can occur.
🌤️ Is there something you can change to reduce stress levels?
Researchers studying the world’s longest-living populations found that the people aging best were not stress-free, they just did not stay stressed all day. They have daily rituals that help bring stress levels back down allowing the nervous system to come out of 'fight or flight' back into 'rest and digest'.
Instead of constant rushing, scrolling, working, caretaking, worrying, pushing through, is it possible to make a change to include daily time for pause, a nap, meditation, a walk, a slow meal etc?
Interrupt the stress response, relax, recover, breathe!💗💗
🌿 Reflexology supporting stress
Reflexologists use specific techniques to help you to relax. These include the solar plexus/chest/lungs/diaphragm reflexes to slow breathing, ease anxiety and support general relaxation. The neck and shoulder reflexes to ease tension. The spine, brain and vagus nerve reflexes to calm the nervous system. The pineal gland reflex to aid sleep.
