Recognising & Managing Compassion Fatigue 💙

Yesterday, our staff and foster carers attended insightful Compassion Fatigue training hosted by Headsight Therapeutic Services & Training. It was an incredibly valuable session, giving us the opportunity to come together, reflect and deepen our understanding of stress and trauma.

We explored the symptoms and causes of secondary trauma, vicarious trauma, burnout and compassion fatigue, helping us identify these challenges and learn strategies to support one another.

At Children Always First, we are committed to reflective and trauma-informed practice, ensuring that our foster carers and staff have the knowledge and tools to provide the best possible care.

A huge thank you to Richard and Headsight for such an important and thought-provoking session! 💙

This Sunday is World Wildlife Day so why not take your pet out for lunch? This pic was shot at Colin's Wallow last summer when Colin (Gloucester Old Spot) and his friends, Poppy (Pygmy Goat), Eartha & Dolores (Toulouse Geese) first moved in.
