From 1 January 2026, children will be offered MMRV vaccine as part of the routine childhood schedule of immunisations. MMRV vaccine protects children against measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (chickenpox).

Please note that the surgery will be closed on Thursday December 25th & Friday December 26th & will reopen as usual on Monday December 29th.

We will close again on Thursday January 1st & reopen as usual on Friday January 2nd.

Colden Common Surgery will be closed on the same dates but is also closing early on both Christmas Eve (3pm) & New Year’s Eve (5pm).

Today (Tuesday December 16th) we are having some work done to investigate a water leak beneath the floor. This will be quite noisy at times.

If you haven’t already had your flu vaccination for the 2025/2026 season we now have new appointments available. These can be booked online or by calling reception.

Appointments are available for patients that qualify for an NHS funded vaccine in both the under 65 & over 65 age groups.

Please be patient with our Pharmacy team as they work really hard to catch with outstanding repeat prescription requests

Please be aware that following the implementation of a new system the Pharmacy team are currently between 5 & 6 days behind in processing repeat prescription requests.

Please bear with us until the new system is fully operational. The team are all working really hard to reduce the processing time.
