Knee pain when walking or running?
It’s rarely just “wear and tear.”
Most persistent knee pain is related to:
• Quadriceps weakness
• Hip muscle imbalance
• Load management
• Movement control
Body weight can contribute — but strength is often the bigger factor.
The good news?
It’s very treatable with the right approach.

Are women’s pain concerns still being dismissed?
Research shows women are more likely to experience chronic pain — and more likely to have that pain underestimated.
Exercise physiologist Dr. Stacy Sims famously says:
“Women are not small men.”
Female physiology is different. Hormones influence recovery. Life stages affect joint stability. Pain patterns can change.
Yet much of healthcare has historically been based on male physiology.
I’ve written a new blog explaining:
✔ What the gender pain gap is
✔ Why women experience pain differently
✔ How personalised chiropractic care can help
If you’ve ever been told “your scan looks fine” but you still hurt — this is worth a read.
