Haven't got the view? Don't worry. When it comes to nutrition and optimum digestion - it isn't about the view, but it's about MINDFUL EATING.

In simple terms - it's about doing one thing at a time - and doing it well! Looking at your plate, smelling the food (ok, maybe it's more than just one thing), chewing it well, enjoying each bite. Putting the cutlery down between bites. Taking note of when you're starting to feel full.

Some of you have asked me about the books that I use to create my nutrition & lifestyle protocols, so here's a snapshot of some of those that inspired me throughout the years and that inform my practice to this date.

10 years in my practice, and I see more and more clearly that applying the ancient wisdom of Chinese medicine to modern alignments brings about transformational results - they don't happen overnight but when the body has a chance to return to a state of balance - you get to experience the magic for years to come.

Have you started to notice the seasons changing?

The days are getting longer, there’s more light in the mornings and evenings, and everything outside seems to be slowly coming back to life. You may even be noticing shifts in your own body and mood too – perhaps feeling a little more energised, or on the contrary more irritable, frustrated, tense, or prone to headaches.

This doesn’t surprise me at all (and I can completely relate!). This time of year is associated with the energy of Spring, which in Chinese Medicine is linked to the Liver and Gallbladder – organs and their systems responsible for the smooth flow of energy, detoxification, emotional balance, and the ability to make decisions and move forward in life.

A little while ago I recorded a masterclass exploring this theme, and I would love to offer you access to the recording as a gift.

A little while ago I recorded a masterclass exploring this theme, and I would love to offer you access to the recording as a gift.

In this masterclass, I share how the wisdom of Chinese Medicine can help us support the body during this seasonal transition. We look at the role of the Liver and Gallbladder in digestion, hormone balance, energy levels, and emotional wellbeing, and why imbalances in this system can sometimes show up as headaches, irritability, PMS, painful periods, digestive discomfort, or that familiar feeling of frustration and being stuck.

I also talk through simple ways to support the body at this time of year through food, gentle detoxification practices, movement, and small lifestyle shifts that encourage renewal rather than depletion.

February, you've been a blast!

After living in the UK for most of my adult life (after being raised in Poland) - I can definitely appreciate a winter like this!

The locals are saying this winter was the worst in many years... But you know, and I know, that if you're able to have your face kissed by the sun for more than 15 days in February, then it means that we had a beautiful Spring this Winter!

Sun is such an unexpected and sooo welcomed medicine at this time of year - and there are barely any people around!

I used this image to illustrate what it feels like to protect your own boundaries - and to listen to your gut, also (especially!) when you eat.

I came into this restaurant as I craved a hot soup and this fantastic place serves just that! And when I ordered, the waitress asked if I wanted a coffee, to which I agreed. I didn't fancy a coffee, I didn't think of having one, but I responded with an autopilot. I took a couple of sips waiting for the soup and it didn't feel good - but I was also battling the thought of 'wasting' it. I have paid for it - almost as much as for the soup which by the way is a bonkers idea - I wasn't going to just leave it like that, was I!?

But then something clicked. This is more than just a coffee I didn't actually want, it's about all the things I don't want but agree to and then do them... Well because I agreed to!

If this feels familiar, then I would like you to pay more attention to those situations when your autopilot is on, when you're trying to please someone or are worried that you may get judged or criticised. Because, at the end of the day, what is the worst that could happen?

I left that coffee behind and felt so powerful. I hope you can feel this, too 🔥

Hey! I haven't been here - or shown myself here - for a while. Sooo much has been going on for me lately and I needed to do what nature told me to do - cave in, winter, slow down.

That doesn't mean staying indoors - in fact, quite the opposite, I have spent more time outdoors, immersed in the elements, than any winter before. How I love the climate of this place! Locals keep saying that it's the worst winter in years, but for me - it's all a matter of perspective. I have happily swapped 40 days of continuous rain in the UK for occasional drizzle and gusty winds.

It turns out that the weather - and what surrounds me - is a f&$ #@ important contributor to how I feel! My energy levels, my ability to face challenges, my creativity - it's been elevated by the many sunny days and starry nights. Do you feel the same when you get to experience a 'holiday weather' or is it just me being this sensitive?

I owe you a professional update. I have paused my nutrition-related work for a couple of months as I needed to free up my time and headspace. I miss working with 1:1 clients and I miss running workshops. In the meantime, I have gone much deeper into dance & movement - it's been my therapy for years and it continues to heal me, elevate my mood and it helps me connect with my true self.

During my time here, I started to form a strong vision for facilitating experiences, here on this beautiful land, that would combine nutrition, dance & deep rest. It all seems to come together here. I am sharing more in my emails - as this app no longer feels like a suitable platform for creating meaningful connections. I hear that the last couple of months have been particularly difficult for many of us - with sudden change, unexpected illness or loss. If this is also a part of your story, I see you. Know that the Spring is just around the corner. This too shall pass. 🌸

Join us for an evening of connection, sharing, movement and relaxation with like-minded women, held in a beautiful space in Altea .altea.

Have you been to women circles before? Are you curious to see what it's like for the first time? Please note that each circle is different as it is co-created by the people that form it. This space is for every-body.

We will begin with a sharing circle - held in English, but don't let the language be a barrier! You will gain benefit from sharing and being heard even if you speak in another language - at least give it a try! Each one of us will have a chance to express whatever comes up - it might be inspired by your week, your intention, your worries, or whatever you heard from another person. There is also no obligation to speak - whatever feels right!

Working with the energy of Spring, I will then invite you to move - from our heads to our bodies - with a little guidance and a curated playlist. No choreography or dancing experience is required! This movement is intended to process and integrate, as well as offer some relaxation. 🌸

Do you often skip breakfast because there just isn't enough time to make it?

Do you find it difficult to focus, feel tired and low and often crave sugar and/or coffee during the day, especially late afternoon?

You may not be surprised to hear that the two above may be linked. Skipping breakfast is like asking your car to run on empty - it may do it for a short period of time but will quickly inform you that it's not how it was designed to run.

So if you really struggle with time in the morning, follow these steps:

1️⃣ Try not to think about what's on your plate just yet but choose something that you can put together relatively quickly, e.g. scrambled eggs and sourdough toast.

2️⃣ Or do the prep the day before so you can quickly reheat your breakfast in the morning, e.g. nut loaf with avocado and boiled eggs.

3️⃣ Aim at eating breakfast within the first couple of hours of waking up - eating on the go is not ideal, but may occasionally work if really pressed for time. Heated porridge in a flask or porridge pancakes may work well.

4️⃣ Once you get the hang of it (and start experiencing the benefits, which will.most definitely boost your motivation), then you can start increasing your portfolio of breakfast ideas and balanced them well for steady energy and satiety until lunchtime.

I haven't cooked much in the last 3 months.

Packing up our life in the UK whilst working full time. Moving countries. Visiting friends and family. Travelling to Brazil. Staying at people's houses. Staying in airbnb with varying levels of cooking equipment.

I missed cooking so much. The taste of my meals. The ritual of peeling, slicing, mixing. The smells coming from the hotpot. The joy of serving food to my loved ones.

So now, I celebrate my new kitchen, with a new view and the simplicity of meals created from delicious ingredients.

On the plate:
🥄Roasted tomato, red peppers & soup cooked in a chicken stock (using carcasses, hearts, lots of spices and root vegetables). Served with a sourdough roll, extra virgin olive oil and Maldon sea salt flakes.

Utterly simple and utterly delicious!
