✨Helping a Little One Feed Comfortably and Thrive✨
Theo’s parents reached out after noticing he was feeding almost constantly but never seemed satisfied. He’d often fall asleep at the breast, wake soon after, and struggle with reflux and restlessness.
The background:�A tongue tie had been identified in his first few days of life, but at that stage, his parents were advised to “watch and wait”, a perfectly reasonable approach, since not all tongue ties cause problems.
When things didn’t improve, they came to see us at The Natal Clinic.�Our team assessed him and found a quite restrictive tongue tie. After discussing options with his parents, we were able to perform a simple procedure in clinic to release it, safely and gently.
✨ The result?�Freed from the restriction, his tongue could finally move as it should. Feeding became more effective and comfortable, for both baby and mum.
