What a wonderful afternoon of music we have had together. Everyone was dancing, swaying and singing along together to Ben's beautiful violin playing. Our residents said how much they loved hearing both old favourites and new tunes and we can't wait to have him back!

We also enjoyed having a go ourselves on Ben's electric violin which uses an Indian tuning.

We had another lovely morning with the children at The Rotherly Day Nursery and can confirm that the fun of balloons never gors, no matter what age you are! Over the past few months our residents have enjoyed connecting with the little ones through music, games and crafts.

Intergenerational sessions like this are so beneficial for both age groups and it's been so wonderful watching everyone's faces light up when the children are here.

This vintage afternoon tea has become a monthly sort of thing for us at Tegfield because who doesn't enjoy a fancy cup of tea every once in a while, pinkies up!

Many of our residents and their relatives gathered for a few rounds of bingo in the lounge beforehand, all making for a pleasant way to unwind this Sunday afternoon.

We celebrated two birthdays in style this afternoon.

Emma, who turned 102 today was joined by friends and family, two of which had travelled from Holland to surprise her.

John turned 90 earlier this week and enjoyed partying away with cake, wine and darts for his celebration today - not a bad combo!

Another successful table tennis session in the conservatory. We are all improving and had some fabulous long rallies going. It's amazing how many of our residents used to play when they were younger and that the muscle memory is still there.
