If you are generally fit and well, here are some simple ideas to keep you immune to anxiety about coronavirus... DO:
-Connect with friends and and family
-Keep doing the things you enjoy
-Eat well and exercise
-Practice grounding yourself (e.g. 54321 - www.insighttimer.com/blog/54321-grounding-technique) and take long, deep breaths
-Reduce contact with people who increase your anxiety
-Get your information from one credible source, such as the World Health Organisation
-Cut down on social media use
-Remember that this is a mild illness for the huge majority of people -Focus on what you know to be true in the present moment (i.e. not what you imagine)
-Take normal steps to stay healthy (e.g. handwashing, eating well)
-If you have children, talk to them calmly about the facts

DO NOT:
-Set up news alerts
-Check news websites frequently
-Contact your GP or 111 for reassurance unless you meet the criteria for needing tests
