We had two unexpected visitors in the lounge this morning — Terry the tortoise and Clive the chameleon 🐢🦎

Residents spent time getting a closer look, with plenty of fascination over Clive’s markings and Terry’s surprisingly quick pace around the room.

Sue especially enjoyed meeting a chameleon for the first time, while Alan watched Clive’s remarkable eyes in action.

Residents from St Catherines View recently enjoyed a special visit to Broadlands Equine Therapy & RDA, where time spent with horses brought back many happy memories.

From stroking and grooming the horses to watching a riding demonstration over tea and homemade cake, it was a perfect day 🐴 And for several residents, it was a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with a lifelong love of horses.

A truly uplifting outing, and one we can't wait to repeat 💚

With music from Jamie, flags waving and plenty of singing along, the lounge had the feel of a traditional street party. Sandwiches, scones, cupcakes and a birthday cake completed the afternoon 🇬🇧🍰

Companionship Team Leader Laura had 34cm of her hair cut to support charity - the fifth time she has donated her hair for good causes 💇‍♀️✨

Residents Valerie and Barbara joined staff and professional hairdresser Olena in helping with the cut, turning the occasion into a shared and uplifting experience.

Laura’s hair will be donated to the The Little Princess Trust, with additional funds raised going towards St John's Wi******er 🎗️
