We enjoyed a busy festive week last week, starting with our Christmas Market where residents and families visited Santa’s Grotto, browsed crafts and the tombola, and even met reindeer in the garden!

A great way to celebrate the season together ❄️🎄

We recently welcomed St Peter’s School for their final visit of the year. After fortnightly visits throughout 2025, the pupils marked the occasion with a carol concert for residents.

Twelve pupils and head teacher Miss Buxton performed using a range of instruments, and residents joined in with the singing.

Our resident Gill thanked the children with a small gift each; we’re looking forward to welcoming them back in January and hearing all about their Christmas break!

Our residents had a wonderful time crafting festive table decorations for our upcoming Christmas Gala.

From painting gold cubes to arranging holly, cones, and battery-operated candles, each piece was made with care and creativity. They’re excited to see their beautiful creations displayed on the tables!

For the 4th year in a row, Colten Care residents, family, visitors and staff have generously donated gifts of chocolate to less fortunate children this Christmas, supporting the Chocolate Elf campaign https://www.facebook.com/groups/TheChocolateElf/

St Catherines View along with the help of all our Hampshire homes and our Support Centre, have this year donated a whopping 232 selections boxes and calendars. With the teams donating more and more each year, it’s wonderful to be able to help.

Our residents enjoyed a thoughtful visit to Wi******er Cathedral, guided by Pam and warmly welcomed by Deborah from the Rotary Club ✨

They explored the Fisherman’s Chapel, admired the carved benches and stained-glass windows, and had a quiet moment to light candles in remembrance. The outing finished with hot chocolate and cake 💛
