Looking over my current food tracker, as I'm trying to find a way to make simple changes without having to be strict on what I eat. I know it's doable, I just want to show it can work. So I have nutracheck and was surprised when I went over my calories even though I'd not had much. Well it turns out it set my calories at 1300...I'm aiming to lose 10kg and apparently the app has decided I need to lose that in 3 months. Over 20lb in 3 months doesn't strike me as healthy or maintainable...
A healthy, maintainable loss is 1lb per week, so 20lbs, 20 weeks approximately, I set it to 1lb a week and this is what it gave me, 1300 a day.
Now I've gone over other calculators for comparison, fatcacl.com put me at 1700 to lose the same amount in 5 months (approximately 20 weeks), so why the huge difference?
Calculator.net also puts me at 1731 to lose weight at 1lb a week.
James smith calculator.co.uk also puts me at 1785, why is nutracheck setting my calories so unrealistically low??
